A married transgender woman has spent over $76,000 on surgery
Fulvia Pellegrino is an Italian transgender woman married to Marisa. Fulvia has decided to change every part of her body which demands a lot of money and it seems like they will be having a lot of financial crisis in the future.
Over the time of her surgery journey, Fulvia has spent over $80,000 which includes getting a cheekbones and lip fillers, breast implants, as well as liposuction.
Fulvia aged 62 lives in Alba, Italy and was born in Fulvio started recognising she was transgender from when she was a teenager. Her family had strict religious rules so it was kept as a secret.
“I am not happy with my ‘perfect’ body, because it is not perfect. Perfection is something else,” said Fulvia.
She has been married to her wife Marisa for 32 years and she did so well also hiding her identity from her.
During the day, he was always that happy and devoted husband, but lived an entirely different life once is nighttime. She dressed in women’s clothings in the garage and visited gay clubs.
“I was feeling trapped in my body. I hid in the garage and put make-up on and dressed like a woman,” she said, according to the Mirror newspaper.
“I never showed that side of me because I was ashamed of it,” she said.
She continued: “It is difficult to grow up with a body which is not yours. You try to mask it in every way playing football, drinking beers, buying American 4x4s and go shooting to feel like a man.”
“Instead you understand it is a mask and so you need to throw it away and become what you are.”
She couldn’t stand living a life she couldn’t keep up with and had to come clean to Merissa, telling her she was going to transition.
“Obviously Marisa lost if for a moment, it is not something that is easy to accept,” she said.
“Today Marisa and I are nothing more than two sisters. We live together, we argue like two normal people but not like husband and wife.”
She was accepted after transitioning by her wife and brothers, but her parents weren’t having it.
“I couldn’t be without Marisa and do what I do without her,” Fulvia said.
“My dad asked my wife to sign a paper to send me into a psychiatric institution to make me change my mind,” Fulvia said.
“It was very hard, when my father passed away, they didn’t let us go to the funeral because they were ashamed of us.”
Fulvia is finding it hard keeping up the surgery bills and is selling off her guns, cars, and house in France.
Nobody is judging her decision, everyone has the right to do whatever they want with their body and Fulvia isn’t an exception.
Fulvia quite doesn’t see the cons of cosmetic surgery and she said she won’t stop until she feels like she has attained perfection. We wish her all the best.
