Pauley Perrette, a former member of “NCIS,” posts an emotional statement following a “massive” stroke

Following a number of offensive situations, Pauley Perrette quit the “NCIS” realm of crime investigation. She now devotes her time to stand-up comedy and charitable work for both humans and animals.

It should go without saying that the 52-year-old has had a long and fruitful career. However, all might have come to an end a year ago when Perrette, in her own words, “cheated death.” The actress updated her fans on her health via social media and disclosed that she had a “massive” stroke.

For 15 seasons, Pauley Perrette played Abby Sciuto on NCIS. Sadly, she left the stage in such a heated manner.

With appearances in both Frasier and The Drew Carey Show, Perrette has a wealth of experience working in comedy. Thus, it was the ideal occasion for her to perform a comedy act once more.

But on September 2, Pauley made some terrifying announcements. The former NCIS star confessed via Twitter that she had a potentially fatal stroke the previous year.

“It’s 9/2. I had a significant stroke a year ago,” Perrette wrote. Before that, I had lost a lot of dear family members and friends. Despite the horrible life I have thus far been handed, I am still a survivor.

The 53-year-old actress remembered the horrifying moment she suffered her stroke in an interview with Entertainment Now.

When Perrette awoke, the entire right side of her body was completely numb. “At first, I believed I had simply slept strangely. I called my doctor, who advised me to “GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM IMMEDIATELY,” as I kept realising the extent of the numbness: I couldn’t feel my finger touching my face, my face being touched by my finger, my laptop sitting on my lap, and no feeling at all on the right side. I could have burned myself or cut off my finger without knowing.

She was initially unwilling to heed the doctor’s counsel. The former NCIS star first requested a consultation with her therapist, a neurologist. But the doctor instructed her to proceed immediately to the ER.

Perrette claimed, “I was on a trolley with a million things stuck in my arms and a group of medical staff taking me somewhere. Pauley Perrette is happily doing extremely well one year later. She wants to spread the word about strokes and the fact that anyone can have one, regardless of age, in an interview with People.

According to Perrette, “I am doing terrific and am really healthy now.” “I want to thank everyone for their concern and take this moment to truly plead with everyone to educate themselves on the symptoms of a stroke and the need of seeking quick medical attention.”
