Prince Harry’s heartfelt tribute on the death of Queen Elizabeth II

The Duke of Sussex broke his silence after the death of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, by posting a poignant tribute on his official Instagram account.

Prince Harry, 37, has paid tribute to his “admired and cherished” grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, who died on Thursday, September 8.

The Duke of Sussex and other members of the Royal Family visited Balmoral Castle on the day the Queen died. For the time being, the Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan Markle, remain in the United Kingdom.

After publicly mourning his loss, the father of two children now thanks the Queen for her “service,” “great advise,” and “infectious grin.”

The full statement issued by Prince Harry, now known as the Duke of Sussex, is as follows:

“In remembering my grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, and mourning her loss, we are all reminded of the role she performed as a moral compass for a large number of people through her dedication to duty and service.”

She was held with high regard and admiration around the world.

Her grace and dignity never faltered while she was alive, and they will go on long after she is gone.

Let us repeat what she said after her husband, Prince Philip, died, words that can provide comfort to all of us now: “Life, of course, consists of last partings as well as first meets.” Let us keep this in mind.”

Regardless of how difficult this final parting is for all of us, Granny, I will be eternally grateful for every one of our first meetings, from the earliest memories I have of my childhood spent with you, to the first time I worked for you as Commander-in-Chief, to the first time you held my adored wife and your treasured great-grandchildren in your arms.

I will be eternally grateful for the moments we spent together, as well as the innumerable other great occasions that occurred in between.”

This declaration came just one day after Kate Middleton and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared together with Prince Harry, his older brother Prince William, the Prince of Wales, and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex.

The four couples, dubbed the “Fab Four,” gathered in front of Windsor Castle to welcome passersby and read messages left on flowers for the Royal Family.
