King Charles forewarned him that marrying Harry and Meghan was a dreadful decision
The royal family has undoubtedly experienced ups and downs in recent years, especially as a result of Harry and Meghan’s departure from the royal family and the explosive allegations that followed.
Although Harry was present at his father’s coronation, the Sussexes’ future relationship with the other royals is in grave doubt.
In interviews, their Netflix series, and of course through the Duke’s book, which was published earlier this year, Harry and Meghan criticised other members of the royal family. That was one thing, but the couple also made the decision to confer royal titles on their children in March.
When Harry made the accusations against King Charles and in particular his wife, Queen Camilla, it was stated that King Charles was incensed with his son. But a royal specialist claims that Charles is only to blame for himself because he made one “terrible mistake” that fundamentally altered everything.
When Harry’s book, Spare, was published earlier this year, the conflict between Harry and Meghan and the royal family reached its height. The Duke attacked nearly every senior member of the royal family, calling his stepmother Camilla a “wicked stepmother,” and even giving a detailed account of one of his biggest battles.
However, as was already indicated, it didn’t turn out well. Harry felt as though he was interrupted anytime he tried to speak before the main topic was to be discussed—when King Charles inquired about the weather and the funeral. The two brothers eventually became “heated,” necessitating the intervention of their father.
Harry remembers Charles asking, “Please, boys, don’t make my final years a misery,” as he “looked up at our flushed faces.”
King Charles was probably incensed by what Harry exposed and accused them of in his book. Archie and Lilibet received the royal titles of prince and princess earlier this year at the decision of Harry and Meghan.
For almost $3 million, the newlyweds refurbished the royal estate. But Harry and Meghan committed to reimburse the whole amount to UK taxpayers when they gave up their royal duties. They may, however, continue to use Frogmore Cottage as their home base when in the UK.
But the day after Harry’s book Spare was published, King Charles decided what would happen to the estate. A representative for Harry and Meghan stated that they had been kicked out of their home.
The spokesman at the time informed Vanity Fair, “We can confirm the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been asked to evacuate their property at Frogmore Cottage.
Omid Scobie, a royal researcher and novelist, claims that King Charles was “spitting mad” about Harry’s book, which probably contributed to the prince’s eviction. According to Scobie, Harry’s relationship with his family had also at “an all-time low” at the time.
However, she currently feels that their grandfather is to blame for their having to leave the Royal Family and does not want the kids to meet him. She’ll likely make the decision swiftly and on the spur of the moment, but once she does, Harry will support her choices, he continued.
The late Queen Elizabeth II expressed her support for Harry and Meghan’s decision to leave the royal family when she said, “My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family.”
The possibility that their children could be given the titles of prince and princess, for instance, was still open to them even if they had been denied access to many things they were entitled to before they departed. When he assumed the throne last year, King Charles did nothing to “lessen the royal” status of his son and daughter-in-law. Tom Bower, a royal expert and novelist, believes that the fact that the monarch did nothing after the accusations were made against him was a grave error.
The events that followed the Sussexes’ expulsion from the royal family, according to Bower, author of Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors, have had a damaging effect on the monarchy. It has become more dramatic than necessary due to Charles’ inaction, and keeping them in the dark was a horrible choice.
Charles has made a catastrophic mistake, and Harry and Meghan have weakened the monarchy, according to Bower, who spoke to Express.
