With her exceptional talent and amiable demeanour, Judy Farrell, an accomplished actress best known for playing Nurse Able on the popular sitcom “MAS*H,” has made a deep effect on our hearts.
Although she played an iconic part that many of us still associate with, there is so much more to learn about this wonderful woman.
An All-Purpose Star
Along with her iconic performance as Nurse Able, Farrell also shown her acting talent in a number of other TV shows, such as “Get Smart,” “The Partridge Family,” and “Quincy, M.E.” In every role she played, her acting range was definitely evident. But she has other talents besides acting.
Farrell was also a gifted writer who made a significant contribution to the television series “Port Charles,” composing an astonishing 131 episodes. She had unrestricted creativity, and both in front of and behind the camera, she had an enduring impression on the industry.
A Memory of a Legacy
Judy Farrell tragically passed away on April 2, 2023, at the age of 84. Nine days prior to her dying, she had a stroke, according to her son Michael Farrell. Even though she was unable to communicate, she was conscious and continued to squeeze the hands of those who loved her until the very end.
A Starry Family
The personal life of Judy Farrell was also connected to the entertainment industry. Prior to this, she was wed to Mike Farrell, who portrayed Captain B.J. Hunnicutt in “MAS*H.” Despite the fact that their marriage had ended in 1983, she later fell in love again and wed Joe Bratcher in 1985.
A Lovely Soul Reminded
On the set of “MAS*H,” Loretta Swit co-starred with Farrell as Maj. Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan. “Judy was a most beautiful woman—inside and out,” she said. We shared an upbringing. She was related.
