Police confirm that Riley Strain’s body was found from the Nashville River
Riley Strain, a missing college student from Missouri, was last seen two weeks ago. Her body was found in a river in Nashville. Around 7:30 a.m. on Friday, authorities in West Nashville retrieved Strain’s corpse from the Cumberland River, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
There was no “foul play-related trauma” seen by the police, and an autopsy is scheduled. Strain was last seen March 8 after he was asked to leave Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge Bar in downtown Nashville
The 22-year-old was seen a few more times before going missing. Once on security camera footage as she crossed the street from the bar, and again on another security camera a few minutes later.
He also had a quick conversation with the police.
Strain was in Nashville with his fraternity brothers when they reported him missing the next day. Police launched a large search for the college student, but until his bank card was discovered on March 16 along the banks of the Cumberland River, search teams had not been able to find him or any leads.
This is a developing story that will be updated as more details become available.
