William and Kate’s heartbreaking motivation for wanting to make amends with Harry and Meghan is revealed
It wasn’t that long ago that the idea of Prince William and Kate Middleton and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle getting back together amicably was not just improbable but unimaginable.
Two of the most senior members of the monarchy have distanced themselves from the Sussexes, which is not surprising given the explosive claims and the unreserved attitude Harry and Meghan have taken to tarnishing the name and character of the British Royal Family.
In fact, if Harry and Meghan were to visit the UK, Will and Kate would not consider the prospect of meeting them, according to reports that have surfaced over the past year. Despite reports that King Charles wanted to reassert Harry into the family so that he could spend more time with his grandsons, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, this is the case.
Naturally, a lot has occurred in the realm of the royal family since the beginning of the year, including the cancer diagnoses of Charles and Kate. Naturally, this indicates that the recent order of events has been wildly erratic, with the Princess of Wales practically disappearing from view and details of their individual diagnoses, treatments, and recoveries being kept under wraps.
However, if recent rumours are to be believed, Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly open to discussing a possible reconciliation with Harry and Meghan. Us Weekly was informed by an unidentified insider that the Waleses wish to make things right for their three kids.
According to the New York Post, the insider said, “They want a relationship with Meghan and Harry, and they don’t want the acrimony to carry over to the next generation.” It goes without saying that the Duke and Duchess want their children to get along with their cousins. It is reasonable to presume that Archie and Lilibet, Harry and Meghan’s children, have not had much interaction with their relatives, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, as the couple has made Montecito, California, their home base for a number of years.
There are obstacles in the way of the cousins’ good connection, the most significant of which is the simmering animosity between William and Kate and Harry and Meghan, even if it makes sense that their parents would support it.
After all is said and done, there’s a strong sense – at least if you read the majority of royal-centric news coming out of the UK – that William and Kate no longer trust the Sussexes. Whether or not they can ever let bygones be bygones remains to be seen. In light of this, unless there is a significant change in the upcoming days, weeks, or months, we wouldn’t hold our breath for a royal reunion. However, it seems that there’s never a bad time to say never.
