Following Kevin Brennan’s mockery of Matthew Perry’s death, fans are enraged

The actor, who gained popularity playing Chandler Bing in the television series Friends, died on Saturday, October 28, presumably from drowning. But his official cause of death is still unknown and won’t likely be disclosed for a few weeks as the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has asked for additional research after the results of a preliminary post-mortem were deemed “inconclusive.”

Former SNL writer Kevin Brennan seems to find the scenario humorous in light of the breaking news of Perry’s death, which stated that Perry was believed to have drowned in a hot tub.

Brennan shared the heartbreaking news by reposting an item from TMZ that said, “DROWNED IN A HOT TUB.” HAHAHAHA. Since then, Brennan has been under fire from people for his blatantly tone-deaf post. “Dude, you’re tacky. So cheesy,” someone remarked. Another said, “What the hell is your problem?”

A third person commented, “This is gross, dude,” while another called him a “sad, sad human being.” “Seriously? I feel sorry for you for making such a remark,” yelled another. Others in the meantime urged Brennan to remove the tweet, but it remains up after 24 hours.

As evidenced by his tweet a few hours ago, “Am I trending yet?”, he seemed to be utterly unaffected by the criticism.

Brennan has been approached by UNILAD for comments. Brennan wasn’t the only one who saw humour in Perry’s loss; his family was among the millions of others who were grieved by his passing. They added in a statement released yesterday: “We are devastated by our brother’s and our son’s untimely death. “As a friend and performer, Matthew brightened the world with so much happiness.

“You all meant so much to him and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love.”

The actor John Bennett Perry and journalist Suzanne Marie Morrison welcomed Perry into the world in August 1969. Following the divorce of his parents, Perry was raised in Ontario by his mother.

Afterwards, she remarried to Keith Morrison, the host of NBC News’s Dateline. Perry is the oldest of the six children, having welcomed four of them together and one more with his father’s second wife. The 17 Again actor came from a large family, although he never got married or had kids of his own.

He was formerly engaged to Molly Hurwitz, his ex-girlfriend, but they broke up in 2021.
