A devastating home explosion takes the lives of two cherished brothers

When their house caught fire on Friday morning, Julian Keiser, age four, and Jamison Keiser, age six, perished. They were recalled by grieving neighbours and community members as the “cutest little boys” who delighted everyone in their presence.

The boys’ mother, Evelyn Turpiano, as well as their grandparents, Jennifer and Vern Ham, managed to flee the flaming house and make it to safety.

Regretfully, the fire’s intensity prevented firefighters from arriving in time to save Julian and Jamison. Rescue efforts, albeit coordinated by the community, proved fruitless. The reason of the explosion is still being looked into.

The owners of the property where the tragedy occurred, the Florida-based Hoffmann Family of Companies, have sent their sympathies to the family in an effort to express support.

The Hoffmanns, who are well-known for their vibrant involvement in the neighbourhood, have been acquiring restaurants and wineries in an effort to turn the area into the Midwest’s Napa Valley.

An online fundraising page called GoFundMe has been established to help the bereaved family deal with this terrible loss. Over $145,000 has been raised thus far, demonstrating the amazing support from acquaintances, neighbours, and even complete strangers. The money will assist with burial costs and help the family start over after losing their house and belongings.

The Defiance community has come together in support of the bereaved family. A local woman named Laura Emerson honoured the boys by putting a Christmas wreath on a water pump next to the burned-out shell of their house.

To honour the boys’ happy dispositions and the affection they bestowed onto others, she added two plush animals to the wreath. We sincerely apologise for this tragic loss. May peace be upon these kind guys’ heads. We are praying and thinking of the bereaved family.
