A Heartfelt Tribute to Snoop Dogg: Honouring His Loved Grandchild Through Their Seven Treasured Grandchildren
Snoop Dogg was born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. and has developed a career that encompasses more than simply music. He is also a devoted family man. In addition to being married to Shante Broadus since 1997, he has four children from a prior relationship: Corde, 30, Cordell, 27, Cori, 25, and Julian, 26.
Snoop’s family has grown over the years, and he is now a proud grandfather who has a particular place in his heart for each grandchild. He is especially committed to preserving the memory of one deceased grandchild so that their legacy lives on in the family.
While promoting his reality program, “Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood,” which sought to highlight the less well-known aspect of hip-hop artists as family men, Snoop expressed his family beliefs in 2007.
Snoop stated in an interview with “People” that “I always play my music for my kids.” I’m curious about their preferences. I feel young, even though others believe I’m old. “Ninety percent of rappers grew up without fathers, but most of them become fathers to their kids,” he stated, reflecting on his experience as a father. We rarely receive recognition for that. When we get to this stage of life, we truly become men.
As his family has grown, the Season 26 coach of “The Voice” has continued to be actively involved with them. He modestly gave himself a fatherhood rating of “about a 7-plus” in a 2015 interview with “Today,” pointing out areas in which he wishes to do better.
“I value my bond with my children above all else. It’s a friendship. It is predicated on my role as a friend, mentor, and father,” he stated. Snoop described himself as a “gullible, get-away-with-everything kind of grandpa” in response to a question about his intentions as a grandfather, saying he intended to be a forgiving one.
He recalled his first grandparenting experience, saying, “Being able to hold him and look into his eyes is just a spark of joy.” I’m grateful that my eldest son made me a grandfather.
A significant aspect of Snoop Dogg’s life is his extended family. He discussed his grandchildren on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” in January 2024, describing how each one refers to him as “Papa Snoop.” This moniker is derived from a nickname that his eldest grandson given him as a child. “I love all of my grandchildren, regardless of their ages and sizes,” Snoop remarked. I’m actually on my way to my oldest [grandson’s] birthday celebration because it’s his birthday today. He recalled how his eldest grandchild initially referred to him as “Papa Noop” since he initially struggled to pronounce “Snoop.”
As his family grew, Snoop had to deal with the devastating death of one grandchild, which had a significant impact on him and his family. Kai Love, Snoop’s grandson, died in September 2019 ten days after his birth. Reposting a letter that said, “If you’re facing something you don’t understand: Choose to trust God,” Snoop posted an emotional statement on social media.
Keep in mind everything He has done for you. His methods are superior than ours. He is consistently good. The message received a lot of encouraging comments from fans and demonstrated Snoop’s faith during his family’s difficult time.
