Attorney killed in American Airlines crash on birthday switched flights
In the wake of the deadliest aircraft accident to hit the United States in decades, shocking new information is emerging. At least sixty-seven individuals are said to have perished in Wednesday night’s tragic plane crash above Washington, D.C., when American Airlines flight 5342 collided with a US Army Black Hawk chopper that was piloted by three soldiers.
The commercial aircraft was en route from Wichita, Kansas, to Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., when it crashed into the Potomac River. Unfortunately, the fact that there were no survivors has since been verified.

Many members of the figure skating community were among the victims of the collision, which President Donald Trump has since called “preventable.” These included the 1994 World Champion pair skaters Evgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov, as well as sisters Everly, 14, and Alydia, 11, who are referred to on social media as the “Ice Skating Sisters.”
Elizabeth Keys, an Ohio lady who died on her birthday after allegedly taking an early flight home to be with her lover, is among the people whose life stories are being posted online in the wake of the event. Elizabeth turned 33 on the day of the collision, according to WSAZ.
There are no words to describe how much I will miss Elizabeth, my Bitsy. At our loss, we are overcome with unfathomable grief and despair,” her family wrote in a statement. After graduating from Tufts University in 2014, they said, “Liz sailed on the varsity team for all four years and made many lifelong friends there.” Liz went on to earn her JD from Georgetown University Law Centre in 2020.

This only represents a small portion of Elizabeth’s life, which was filled of cherished friends and relatives. Both she and she were much adored. Liz was a kind and giving person. She was hilarious and a lot of fun! Liz was witty and liked to make people laugh. Liz brought brightness and pleasure to gatherings, making them better every time.
Liz offered everyone her best self and was a close friend to many. Her embraces were amazing! According to reports, Elizabeth, a lawyer in Washington, changed her flight so she could celebrate her birthday with her long-time partner David, who recalled her as the one who always “pushed you to be the best version of yourself.”
As of this writing, the National Transportation Safety Board is looking into what caused the crash. According to reports, a US Army helicopter on a training exercise collided with the American Airlines aircraft.
President Trump commented on the incident late on Wednesday night, saying it “should have been prevented.” On his personal social media account, Truth Social, Trump posted, “The plane was on a perfect and routine line of approach to the airport.” “For a long time, the helicopter was flying directly at the aeroplane.”
“The plane’s lights were blazing, and it was a CLEAR NIGHT. Why didn’t the helicopter turn or go up or down?” He said, “Why didn’t the control tower ask the helicopter if they saw the plane and then tell them what to do?” It appears that this unfortunate circumstance may have been avoided. AWFUL! Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy repeated the president’s remarks during a press conference on Thursday morning. “From this perspective, we will wait for all the evidence to be received, but to support the president’s statements and what I have witnessed thus far, do I believe this was avoidable? “Yes,” he said.
To everyone who died in this terrible accident, may you rest in peace.
