Melania Trump’s absence at the Super Bowl is the subject of a fan theory
This past Sunday, Donald Trump became the first sitting president to attend the Super Bowl. One important person was absent from the 47th President of the United States’ big entourage, which included various family members: Melania Trump.
When the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans, Donald was not accompanied by the First Lady. Social media users were mainly divided into two groups, and many started to speculate as to why that would be the case.
Meanwhile, sources have shared new insight into Melania Trump’s world as First Lady—and it appears that she has a very different opinion regarding the job than every First Lady before her. Melania Trump and her husband’s return to the White House was always going to act as a catalyst for controversy and opinion sharing.
The couple departed Washington in 2021, during their first presidential tenure, but now, four years later, they have returned. The Slovenian former model’s life has been relatively peaceful between her husband’s two presidential mandates, but she is again back in the spotlight. Furthermore, rumours of a rupture and conjecture on her and Donald’s marriage are persistent.
Donald and Melania recently commemorated their twentieth wedding anniversary. Moving back into the White House together was one of the best 20th anniversary presents they could have received after their star-studded wedding at Bethesda-By-the-Sea on January 22, 2005. On Inauguration Day, the pair had a number of private moments together.
One expert, behavioural scientist Abbie Maroño, asserted that she saw something others overlooked, despite Melania’s habit of being in the spotlight. In an interview with Newsweek, Maroño said Melania’s behaviour on the day her husband took the oath of office showed that she was uncomfortable with the spotlight.
“First Lady Melania Trump’s wide-brimmed hat seemed to act as a barrier, complicating a moment when President Trump tried to kiss her, resulting in an awkward air kiss,” she said, adding that it might have been a way for her to hide her face, suggesting that she was uncomfortable with the attention from the public and that the couple was not making eye contact, smiling, or holding hands.
Donald was the first president to attend the Super Bowl while in office. He brought his son, Eric Trump, his wife, Lara, his daughter, Ivanka Trump, and her 7-year-old son, Theodore, to Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Sunday. On the other hand, social media users were perplexed by Melania’s absence.
Many people questioned why she wouldn’t go with Trump to the massive event on the social media site X. While some saw it as an opportunity to ridicule her, others were even worried.
“Well! Melania, where are you? According to the Irish Star, one commenter commented, “Has she even moved into the White House, or is she busy filing for divorce?” “Is Melania at home?” said another. To be honest, I can’t say that I blame her.
Barron and Melania are not going to the Super Bowl with Trump. What a “man of the family!” According to a third, Melania does not reside at the White House at Mar a Lago. It’s unclear exactly why Melania Trump—or Barron, for that matter—didn’t go to the Super Bowl with Donald.
His wife, however, “joins me in sending our best wishes for a great Super Bowl Sunday,” according to a statement Donald published prior to the game.
