Garth Brooks and Kelly Clarkson’s amazing rendition of “Shallow”
When Kelly Clarkson and Garth Brooks performed a stunning duet of Shallow, the hit song made popular by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in the film A Star Is Born, they astounded fans.
In 2019, while performing her “Meaning of Life” tour in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Kelly Clarkson stunned the audience with a stunning rendition of the 2018 Grammy and Golden Globe-winning song “Shallow,” which was first performed by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in the popular movie A Star is Born. Clarkson, 42, praised Gaga, who co-wrote the song for the love film in which she costarred with Cooper, saying, “This chick is amazing.”

“This song is amazing. The song is called “Shallow,” and I felt she and Bradley Cooper did a fantastic job with it. Since I obviously don’t have a Bradley Cooper here, we’re performing our own version of it.
According to People, Clarkson went on, “I hope I don’t suck, and if I do, I hope she doesn’t see it.” Millions of admirers watched her cover and complimented her “effortless vocals.”
As if she wrote it herself, she sings it! One fan comments, “Beautiful,” on Clarkson’s YouTube video. I still get chills from this cover. A second person remarks, “It’s just the best,” and a third person quips, “Is there a Grammy category for covers? Kelly, you did an excellent job.
Then, a few years later, legendary country music performer Garth Brooks joined presenter Kelly Clarkson for a jam session. However, initially, the singer of ‘Dive Bar’ told Clarkson about his 2020 duet with his wife, Trisha Yearwood, called ‘Shallow’.
“I witnessed you all doing this [on Facebook] in real time. You were engaged in a live activity. Was that the beginning of it all? The American Idol contestant asks her guest, adding that “Fun” is one of Brooks’ album’s highlights.
According to Brooks, who turned sixty-three on February 7, “someone asked him and his wife to sing the duet on his Facebook Live show.” I was thinking, ‘Oh, crap,’ but Miss Yearwood understood what she was doing.” While playing bars from the song on his guitar, Brooks remarked, “I’ve seen the movie; it’s pretty cool.” “You’re invited in.”I adore it,” Clarkson exclaims.
The legendary country singer then asks her to join in on the song. He remarked, “I wish I could hear you sing.” “I wish we could sing it together. She jokingly said, “Sorry, Trisha. “I would sing three parts if you were here, but you’re not.” Following the amazing performance, the singer looked directly into the camera and said, “Miss Yearwood,” to his wife. That wasn’t fun,” I said, then turned away and said, “That was amazing!”
Intimate but impactful was the performance. The two produced a rendition of “Shallow” that seemed genuine and unadulterated thanks to Clarkson’s soaring vocals and Brooks’ distinctive storytelling style. Fans of all genres found great resonance in the enchanted fusion of Brooks’ rich, traditional country sound and Clarkson’s modern pop approach.
One fan comments on the YouTube video, saying, “Kelly doesn’t just sing a song, she makes you [feel] it and understand it.” “I really want a duet single from them because of the incredible musical chemistry between Kelly and Garth,” comments a second. “All day long, I could sit here and listen to them sing.” They both have wonderful personalities and are incredibly accomplished. “Watching this was so much fun!” says a third. Another comment about the spooky performance reads, “I got chills when Garth started.” Kelly sounds amazing and comes on strong. Fantastic duo on a fantastic tune. Many thanks to you both.
