Meghan Markle Fires Back at Those Wild ‘Diva Demands’ Rumors Ahead of Possible UK Trip
You know how the rumor mill loves to churn when it comes to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? Well, it’s spinning again.
With the Invictus Games heading to Birmingham in 2027, there’s been a lot of chatter about whether Meghan might join Harry for at least part of it—maybe even that one-year countdown event this summer. The couple stepped away from royal duties back in 2020 and have built their life in Montecito, California, with Netflix deals, podcasts, and all sorts of projects keeping them busy.

But lately, some reports have claimed Meghan’s only willing to come back if she gets what people are calling super “diva” level treatment. The main source for this seems to be journalist Rob Shuter on his Substack, quoting anonymous insiders.
According to those whispers, Meghan supposedly wants:
- Several entire floors of the Hyatt hotel blocked off just for her and her team
- Extra beefed-up security the whole time she’s there
- Staff who aren’t even allowed to look at her directly (yep, that one’s been repeated a lot)
- Everyone to address her as “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex” no matter what
- A big entourage traveling with her—think personal stylist, private chef, makeup artists, assistants, PR people
- Constant access to drivers, fancy cars, and even a police escort from the airport
On top of that, the reports say she’d want super strict security at the Invictus events themselves—restricted entry points, visible armed guards, even bulletproof glass. One insider apparently told Shuter it was less about normal protection and more like “building a fortress.”
Look, security has always been a sore spot for the Sussexes. They lost their court battle last year over getting the same level of UK police protection they had before, so it’s no surprise the topic keeps coming up.

But Meghan’s camp isn’t having any of it.
A source close to Harry and Meghan spoke to the Express and basically shut the whole thing down: “This is a complete fabrication. Nothing about it is true. No demands like this have ever been made.”
Pretty straightforward denial.
So, is any of this real, or just another round of tabloid speculation designed to stir things up? Hard to say for sure when it’s all anonymous sources and no official word from the couple. Either way, it feels like classic royal drama—people love debating whether the Sussexes will ever fully return to the UK fold (spoiler: most signs point to no).
What do you think? Will we see Meghan at an Invictus event in Birmingham, or is this all just noise? Drop your thoughts below!
