11 Years Missing: German Aspiring Model’s Disappearance Tied to Epstein’s Model Scout

A German aspiring model named Michele has been missing for nearly 11 years, and fresh details from the Epstein files have left her family even more worried about what might have happened to her.

The young woman, referred to only as Michele in the documents, walked out of her family home in September 2015 at the age of 22. No one has heard from her since.

📷 The woman, only identified as ‘Michele’ (pictured), left her family home in September 2015 when she was 22 and has not been heard of since.

She had been in touch for some time with a model recruiter called Daniel Siad. He had connections to the late Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender who died in custody in 2019 while facing sex trafficking charges.

Michele had lived in places like Dubai and traveled to other international spots, according to reports from German media outlets Der Spiegel and ZDF.

The Epstein files, made public by the US Department of Justice back in September 2025, show that Siad reached out to Epstein at least twice in 2014, right before Michele vanished. In one message from February, he sent a photo of her taken in Dubai and simply wrote that it was the only picture he had of her.

Epstein replied to thank him for the image. The next month, Siad followed up, referring to Michele as “the girl you missed from Germany.” He described her warmly, saying she was someone he knew well, very cool and a great person. “You will love her,” he added.

There is no evidence that Michele ever actually met Epstein. Two of his former assistants told Der Spiegel they had never come across her.

According to her sister, Michele left in 2015 without saying where she was heading or how long she would be gone. After a month with no contact, the family reported her missing to the police. But under German law at the time, authorities could only launch a full active search if there were signs of possible foul play.

Months turned into years. Her loved ones held onto hope that she might one day walk back through the door. It was only when the Epstein files came out that they finally saw any possible connection to her disappearance.

Her father Vlado, who is now separated from her mother Annett, shared how desperate they are for answers. “It’s so important to us that we find her again, no matter the situation,” he said.

Michele had dreamed of becoming a model since her teenage years, a path that worried her parents. Annett had hoped her daughter would choose something more stable. She once told her, “You look beautiful now, but what will you do when you’re 30 or 40 and no one books you anymore?”

After some wild teenage years, Michele started mentioning modeling work to her mom, though she kept the details vague. In 2012 she moved to Dubai, telling her family she was waitressing there. That was also where she said she first met Siad.

Later, her father learned she had been working for Siad as an escort. An ex-partner recalled how Siad would call her constantly and sometimes yell at her over the phone. “She was constantly getting calls. Sometimes she was loudly insulted,” he said. “I had the impression that she was under a lot of pressure.”

Eventually Michele seemed exhausted by the treatment. She tried rehab back in Germany. In the evenings she and her dad would sit in the garden, grill some food, and talk about her future. They made plans for her to find an apartment and a proper job once he returned from a trip.

But those plans never came to anything. In August 2015, just before she disappeared, she spent a few days with her mother. Then, without any warning, she was gone.

Siad is now under investigation in France over claims he helped Epstein traffic and abuse women. He has denied the accusations.

Der Spiegel noted that Siad’s name appears often in the Epstein files. He would send photos of women along with their measurements and praise how beautiful they were.0

Reporters from Der Spiegel and ZDF tried to reach Siad for comment, but neither he nor his lawyer responded.
