Heartbreaking Update in the Nancy Guthrie Case: Second Note Claims She Did Not Survive

A second message sent to news outlets about the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie revealed that the 84 year old mother of Today show co anchor Savannah Guthrie had passed away.

The note stated that she died not long after being taken and that her body was buried somewhere out in nature. This information comes from sources close to the investigation and was first highlighted in recent reporting by NBC News.

The Guthrie family got these two notes soon after Nancy went missing. The first one asked for a cryptocurrency ransom in exchange for her safe return. Details about the second message stayed private until now. According to ABC News reports it carried a much darker tone with no demands for money and no apology.

Nancy was last seen at her home in Tucson Arizona on January 31. Just a couple of days later authorities described the scene inside her house as very concerning and said they believed she had been abducted.0

Early in the search the FBI released doorbell camera footage showing a possible suspect breaking into the home. A person of interest was briefly detained but then let go. Since then unfortunately there has been very little new progress in finding Nancy.

Savannah Guthrie has been open about how tough it is to return to work while her mother remains missing. She recently filled in on the Today show and shared with co host Jenna Bush Hager that seeing familiar faces each morning helps her get through the days even when her heart is breaking. She tries to hold it together for the job but admits the pain is always there.

This latest revelation adds another layer of sorrow to a case that has already captured national attention and left the Guthrie family and their supporters hoping for answers. The investigation continues as authorities work to bring clarity and justice for Nancy.
