Anna Faris Admits Brutal Melania Trump Joke Was Cut from Scary Movie 6

Anna Faris has shared that a particular joke targeting Melania Trump proved too harsh for inclusion in the latest Scary Movie installment.

Fans of the long running horror comedy series have been eagerly awaiting the new film, and Scary Movie 6 finally hit theaters just a few days ago. Anna Faris, who first joined the franchise back in 2000 when she was only 23, has since risen to become a major Hollywood name.

Over the years, the movies have poked fun at plenty of celebrities, but this time around one specific bit involving the former First Lady had to be left on the cutting room floor. While chatting with Dexerto, Anna explained that she pushed hard for her character Cindy to tumble down a classic MAGA rabbit hole.

She described the type of person she had in mind as the sort you might have seen outside Walmart during the pandemic, kicking up a real fuss about something.

In the deleted scene, a very drunk Cindy sits in her truck, glances at the rearview mirror, and tells herself, “Be best, Cindy Campbell. Be best.” Anna admitted she really liked the little wink she gave in that moment, but ultimately it didn’t survive into the final cut.

“You know, what are you gonna do?” she said with a laugh. “You gonna be mad at Cindy? I’m starring in what might be the most offensive movie ever made, and I’m all in on those wild ideas. It actually felt pretty liberating.”

Since its release on June 5, Scary Movie 6 has been a big hit at the box office, claiming the top spot and pulling in around 55 million dollars domestically during its opening weekend. Whether Melania Trump herself is a fan of the franchise remains a mystery, but the film’s broad comedy clearly struck a chord with audiences.
