Always trust your instincts

Always, trust your first gut instincts, they aren’t wrong. If you genuinely feel in your heart and soul that something is wrong, it usually is.

My instincts never failed me a lot of times, when I feel things are wrong. It always ends up hurting me, but they are never wrong.

When I met my first date, I was in 300level while he was in his finals. He had everything I ever wanted.

Everyone knew that after college, we will end up together. I also saw that future with him, he was so perfect to be true.

Well, that’s all in the past, as my instincts never go wrong. I had a feeling he was cheating on me, it was so real and I could feel it. He once introduced me to a girl in his class, my spirit never accepted her. She carried an aurora I suspected to be very bad, though I couldn’t place my hand on it.

I told him what I felt, he told me I was sick, and I don’t trust him. He said he will never cheat on me.

Well, few weeks later, I decided to go through his phone. A message popped in and I was tempted to open it.

I met the biggest shock of my life; he was having an affair with the girl he introduced me to.

I never doubted my instincts, but I trusted him and thought he will do better.

I never doubted my instincts after that hurtful experience, it is all in the past, but it was worth a lesson.
