The tragic incident of Jon Bon Jovi’s daughter Stephanie
Jon Bon is a legendary rock star who has managed to build a successful career and a beautiful family too.
Amidst his success, he has witnessed quite a no of tragedies especially with his 28-year-old daughter Stephanie Rose Bongiovi.
Jon Bon started performing in clubs at the age of 16 and his first performance wasn’t far from terrible but his parents supported him.
He said in The Big Issue’s Letter To My Younger Self, What I got from my parents was the ability to make the dream reality.
They always instilled that confidence in their kids, which, in retrospect, I realize was so incredibly valuable. Because even if you truly weren’t any good at your craft, if you believed you were, you could work on it.”
He formed a blues band called Atlantic City Expressway with David Bryan, a keyboardist while in high school.
Bovi released his first single “Runaway” at the age of 18. It paved the road to stardom for him.
“There was no plan B for me, ever. I can remember walking the two-mile walk to school with the guy who became my first band’s bass player.
And I would just conspire as to how I was going to get a band together, how I was going to play in bars and eventually make it,” Bon Jovi said. “Which to me at that time just meant keep on playing in a bar – the measurements of success change throughout your life.”
In 1983, Bovi and his team got the attention of record executive Derek Shulman and their first album came in 1984 which was a huge success.
Bon Jovi recalled, “What I got from my parents was the ability to make the dream reality. They always instilled that confidence in their kids, which, in retrospect, I realize was so incredibly valuable. Because even if you truly weren’t any good at your craft, if you believed you were, you could work on it.”
Bovi started a family with Dorothea Hurley, they have four children, Jacob, Stephanie, Romeo, and Jesse Bongiovi, and have been married for over 30 years.
The family was living peacefully but not until Stephanie at the age of 19 was rushed to the hospital after she ingested a controlled substance.
It was a horrible time for the family, but Stephanie made it out alive.
Jon Bon Jovi – who wrote the song “I Got The Girl” about his eldest daughter in 2002 – told the Daily Mirror several months after the incident, “It was horrible, a horrible moment. It was my worst moment as a father.”
According to Glamour Path, Stephanie is now pursuing a modeling career.
