According to Melania Trump’s stylist, dressing her is challenging

The White House has formally welcomed Melania Trump back for a second term. She and Donald Trump returned to their former residence on Monday following a long day of festivities, and naturally, there was a lot of media coverage.

Fashion experts and the general public have long been fascinated by Melania’s attire. Despite one piece of clothing, her hat, leaving some perplexed, her inauguration attire was impressive. Interestingly, one source stated that numerous designers had declined to work with Hillary before the inauguration.

Throughout her career, the First Lady of the United States has collaborated with numerous designers, but most recently, she has done so with Hervé Pierre Braillard, a designer located in New York City. He has already talked about how his cooperation with Melania has resulted in unfavourable reactions. Simultaneously, Braillard disclosed the cause of her occasional difficulty finding the ideal ensemble. On Monday, Melania and Donald moved back into the White House.

The President and First Lady of the United States have been preparing for their second term at the White House, hiring new staff and outlining their plans, after months of preparation following the election victory in November of last year.

Although there was a lot of secrecy surrounding Inauguration Day, the public got an inside look at what really happens when one president is leaving and another is coming when Melania and Donald Trump move in. The First Lady of the United States spoke with Fox and Friends about her new documentary just before Melania and her husband moved into the White House.

A behind-the-scenes documentary about Melania will be released in theatres later in 2025, according to Amazon, who revealed in early January that they had started filming it. According to Puck News, three individuals with knowledge of the agreement stated that the license value is $40 million.

Due in part to her experience as a model, Melania has encountered challenges in her quest to collaborate with some of the world’s top designers as the First Lady. Before the inauguration, Women’s Wear Daily stated that representatives of designer labels like House of Gilles, Diotima’s Rachel Scott, Zankov’s Sergio Hudson, and Michael Kors refused to comment on whether they would wish to collaborate with Melania on the special day. In the past, designers like Jason Wu, Marc Jacobs, and Tom Ford openly refused to wear Melania during Donald Trump’s first administration.

French designer Hervé Pierre Braillard, the former creative director of Carolina Herrera, is one person who has collaborated extensively with Melania throughout the years. He clarified in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily that he hasn’t received a satisfactory response to the reasons why certain individuals refuse to collaborate with the First Lady.

The French designer claimed that his life was negatively impacted by his work with the Trumps. He was reportedly informed he “was not welcome here” by someone as he was shopping in a designer store in New York City. “I know you can be critical of Mrs. Trump, but telling someone who is coming to shop at full price, ‘You are not welcome here,’ is unacceptable.” I would never have anticipated that,” Pierre remarked.

“The Europeans are more accepting and see dressing Mrs. Trump as a business opportunity to generate sales and free publicity because of the press coverage she is receiving. Some of the designers here in New York are lovely.”

In order to make sure Melania Trump stands out from the rest of the people in the room, how can one assist in getting her the greatest possible attire? Well, in a 2017 interview with The New York Times, Hérve Pierre Braillard divulged a very important secret. He claims that Melania usually wears clothes that are off the rack rather than ones that are carefully made for her.

According to Braillard, Melania typically searches her own closet for high-end fashion houses in order to find an American designer to wear. If not, Pierre can locate these pieces for her as well. When he purchases items for Melania, he never discloses who they are for.

He told the New York Times, “I go to Bergdorf, I go to Saks, Michael Kors, Dior. What is challenging is when I cannot say what it is for.” In addition, Pierre always enquires as to whether Melania has recently walked the red carpet because he does not want her to appear on a “Who Wore It Better” list. “I don’t really do that for the good reason that the fashion industry is not very welcoming [of Trump.] That’s no secret,” he told Women’s Wear Daily, “some are very open-minded and would be able to do something special. But a lot of people are not.”
