Cameron Diaz makes a shocking revelation after retiring from Hollywood
Cameron Diaz was one of the highest-paid actresses who stepped away from the limelight when they reached the peak of their career.
Cameron Diaz started her career as a model at the age of 16 and has worked for Calvin Klein and Levi’s.
She was a model with no acting experience and at the age of 21, she took Hollywood by surprise and appeared in high-grossing movies.
She got many awards and nominations and was at the peak of her career. At the age of 40, the blond bombshell made a shocking revelation that has left everyone speechless.
In an interview with Actor Kelvin Hart, the California-born star said she needs to manage her life on her terms. “For me, I just really wanted to make my life manageable by me.
My routine in a day is literally what I can manage to do by myself.” She added she has to take a step backward to do that. “I think you probably can relate to this,” Diaz said on Kevin’s show ‘Hart to Heart.’
“When you do something at a really high level for a really long period of time, there’s a lot that — when you’re the person who’s sort of delivering on this one thing.
You’re the person on the screen, you’re the person who’s ‘the talent’ — everything around you, all parts of you that isn’t that, has to be handed off to other people.”
She said stepping away from the spotlight and doing what she wants, made her feel whole again. In 2014, Diaz was introduced to Benji Madden, Good Charlotte band’s lead guitarist.
Nicole Richie who is married to Madden’s twin brother Joel Madden introduced Diaz to Benji 10 months earlier.
The actress revealed to Hola.com she was instantly interested in Benji, “I saw him walking towards me and I was like, ‘Huh, he’s hot.
I haven’t seen him before,’” and when she found out who he truly was she thought “Oh, you, you, you’re special. You’re the guy.
You’re the hidden gem in my life.” In 2014, Diaz played her last role in Annie as Miss Hannigan. She went on to start a family and welcomed her first daughter, Radix in December 2019.
She has left Hollywood and ventured into business launching an organic wine brand Avaline with business partner Katherine Power. She spends most of her time taking care of her family and being the best mom.
