Harry attributes Meghan Markle’s miscarriage to the media

The past several days have provided plenty for royal lovers to eat. The final three episodes of Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary, which includes many fresh revelations about the royals and what royal life may be like, have been made available.

To say that Harry and Meghan don’t want to live that life again is not an understatement. In fact, they are now criticising the monarchy for everything its subjects had to endure.

Meghan’s time as a princess came dangerously close to costing her life. The former actress experienced a miscarriage in 2020. That, along with her declining mental state, nearly drove her over the edge. It may even be said that Meghan’s decision to leave the Royal Family saved her.

These days, Harry and Meghan are openly discussing the loss they suffered together. The prince recently went so far as to attribute it to the media.

Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary series’ first three parts focus on their formative years. The couple also provides details on the early stages of their relationship and even a sneak peak at the messages they exchanged at that time.

Meghan wrote an editorial article for the New York Times in November 2020 where she went into greater detail about her miscarriage and the suffering she and Harry experienced.

“Losing a kid entails experiencing nearly tremendous grief, which many people go through but few discuss. In the agony of our loss, my husband and I learned that, out of 100 women in the room, 10 to 20, will have miscarried. The dialogue is nonetheless fraught with (unjustified) shame and perpetuates a cycle of isolated mourning despite the stunning universality of this suffering, Meghan wrote.

“Some people have fearlessly revealed their experiences, opening the door because they understand that when one person speaks the truth, it gives permission for the rest of us to do the same. We have discovered that when people genuinely inquire about how each of us is doing and listen to the response with an open heart and mind, the burden of loss frequently becomes lighter – for all of us. We begin the process of healing when we are given the opportunity to share our suffering.

Despite the hurt and grief Harry and Meghan experienced, they would have a daughter, Lilibet, in 2021. Archie, their son, was born in that year.

Meghan discussed her miscarriage, which was widely publicised, in the sixth and final episode of their documentary series, which was released on Thursday.

She was under a lot of pressure as the couple settled into their new house.

In addition, Meghan had problems with her father, Thomas, and the constant media attention they were subjected to.

“I was expecting. I wasn’t sleeping at all. I miscarried the morning we moved into our new house,” Meghan recalled.

Harry said, referring to the newspaper, “I think what the Mail did caused my wife to have a miscarriage.”

Meghan Markle wrote her father a lengthy five-page letter in 2018, just a few months after the wedding. He allegedly asked her not to speak to the media. The Mail on Sunday and MailOnline publisher, Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL), published portions of the letter shortly after it had been leaked, which infuriated Meghan.

Because of the publishing, she chose to sue the ANL and succeeded.

According to the Mirror, Meghan’s attorneys claimed in court that it was “unlawful” and “a triple-barrelled infringement of her privacy rights” to publish the “intrinsically private, personal, and sensitive” letter.

“I ask for nothing other than tranquilly and I desire the same for you,” the letter’s final line stated.

In connection with the copyright infringement suit, Associated Newspapers Limited was required to pay Meghan a previously agreed-upon confidential amount.
