How, at the Remembrance Sunday Service, Kate Middleton made a “concering” gesture to calm the “anxious” Queen Camilla

Kate Middleton and Queen Camilla have developed a close relationship. Prior to the now-Princess of Wales’ marriage to Prince William, Camilla offered her unwavering support and some crucial guidance when she joined the royal family. Although Kate is said to be “stronger than ever” with William, it doesn’t seem like her failure to heed any of the advise was in vain.

The royal family has faced several difficulties in the past few years. With the death of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022, it all started. The Duke’s Spare book’s publication this year sparked a new round of Harry and Meghan’s dispute, and Kate and King Charles’ cancer prognosis has been extremely difficult for them all.

It’s been reported that Queen Camilla gave Kate Middleton a lot of encouragement during this difficult period. But Kate also shown not so long ago that she was a reliable person. At a significant royal event, Camilla was extremely uneasy, so Kate chose to take the lead.

For a long time, Kate Middleton and Queen Camilla were regarded as excellent companions. Camilla was fully aware of Kate’s newspaper smears during her time with William, having endured the same treatment when her and Charles’ affair went public.

When Camilla looked alone on a balcony in 2022 to watch the parade, Kate intervened to help her get through. 2022’s Remembrance Sunday liturgy was unique because it was King Charles’s first as king.

Big Ben’s chimes chimed at eleven in the morning, and then the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery from the neighbouring Horse Guards Parade opened fire. There was a two-minute silence afterward; photos from the occasion seem to show King Charles fighting back tears.

It was reported that King Charles used his racing colours in his wreath design as a tribute to Queen Elizabeth and his grandfather, George VI. Prince William also laid a wreath, which, coincidentally, appeared to be the same as the one Charles had laid down throughout his tenure as Prince of Wales—a position he retained for almost sixty years prior to taking the throne.

The annual Remembrance Day service was attended by a number of Royal Family members in addition to King Charles and William. Kate and Camilla observed the festivities from the balcony of the adjacent Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office building.

That being said, things were not the same as they had been in previous years. Three people often stand on the balcony during the Remembrance Sunday marches, as anyone who observed them before 2022 will attest. There were just the two that weekend, and Queen Elizabeth’s place was vacant.

However, Camilla and Kate appeared to respect the late Queen’s legacy by keeping their distance from one another.
