Kate Middleton – changes and alterations to Princess Diana’s $500,000 engagement ring

Kate and Williams have been married for 11 years and they were close friends before they decided to take things further.

They met each other for the first time during a fashion week and Kate’s $40 dress caught William’s eyes.

William told The Telegraph, “We were friends for over a year first and it just sort of blossomed from then on. We just spent more time with each other and had a good giggle, and realized we shared the same interests.”

They were soon so much in love with each other and during a holiday in Kenya, Williams decided to pop the big question.

William recalled, “We had a little private time away together with some friends and I just decided that it was the right time. We had been talking about marriage for a while so it wasn’t a massively big surprise. I took her up somewhere nice in Kenya and I proposed.”

“I’d been planning it for a while but as every guy out there will know it takes a certain amount of motivation to get yourselfgoing.”

“So I was planning it and then it just felt real right out in Africa. It was beautiful at the time. I just … I had done a little bit  planning to show my romantic side.”

Kate said while laughing, “It was very romantic. There’s a true romantic in there.”

“Everywhere I went I was keeping hold of it because I knew this thing, if it disappeared I would be in a lot of trouble, and because I’d planned it, it went fine,” he said. “You hear a lot of horror stories about proposing and things going wrong – it went well and I was pleased she said yes.”

The ring used for the proposal belonged to Princess Diana, her engagement ring, so everything was perfect.

The couple got married on April 29, 2011, and they have three children today, George (born in 2013), Charlotte (2015), and Louis (2018).

Recently it was revealed that Kate Middleton secretly made some changes to Diana’s $500,000 worth of engagement ring.

It was revealed that the ring couldn’t fit Kate so she took it to royal jewelers G Collins and Sons, who made the change so it would fit better after some adjustments.

The adjustments weren’t made rather tiny platinum beads were attached inside the bottom of the ring to fit.
