Kate Middleton has a lesser-known condition; Queen Elizabeth intervened when she “felt sick.
Kate Middleton is currently recuperating after an atypical operation that she had scheduled. The Princess of Wales is expected to recuperate at Adelaide Cottage until Easter, but it is unclear when she will return to her royal duties.
Kate has experienced a few health concerns throughout the years, one of which even started when she was a young child.
She experienced excruciating morning sickness throughout her pregnancies. However, that kind of ailment hasn’t been the only one causing her problems during the past few years.
According to a news article from a long back, Kate has experienced another, lesser-known sickness. If not, it was strange given what she was doing at the time.
According to the newspaper, Kate became sick in the horse-drawn carriage. She’d felt queasy from the old, vintage coach’s swaying. The Mirror said that motion sickness was to blame.
In 2011, the then Duchess of Cambridge decided to ride by car and not by carriage to her wedding with Prince William. Even though she frequently cruised in her Royal Yacht Britannia, Queen Elizabeth also suffered from seasickness and gave Kate advice on her go-to medications.
“The truth is the Duchess of Cambridge gets very seasick and doesn’t enjoy the rocking motion of carriages,” a royal source told the Mirror. “Worrying she may be ill on such an important occasion as Trooping the Colour added to her stress. Protocol meant she had no choice but to go by state carriage.”
Dr. Qadeer Arshad of Imperial College London stated in an interview with the paper that “motion sickness is down to mixed messages coming from your ears and eyes.”
“The most effective medication makes you drowsy, so it wouldn’t be appropriate for royals prior to a state occasion,” he continued.
Although they may not be exactly the same, sea sickness and morning sickness share many similarities. Regretfully, Kate Middleton has also had a great deal of experience with that.
