Liam Payne is probably unconscious after a tragic fall, according to police

The world is still in shock over the loss of 31-year-old Liam Payne, and new evidence has emerged about the events that preceded his tragic fall. Whether the former member of One Direction was conscious when he fell from the third-story balcony of the hotel in Buenos Aires where he was staying is one of the most pressing doubts that many fans have.

Liam Payne went to see his former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan perform in the Argentine city on October 3, only weeks before he was discovered dead after falling from a third-floor hotel room balcony in the hip Palermo neighbourhood of Buenos Aires.

In an Instagram post featuring a cute old photo of the two from their One Direction days, Horan writes, “I’m absolutely devastated about the passing of my amazing friend, Liam.” “It simply doesn’t seem real.”

Whoa, I just learnt that we will soon reach one billion streams on WmyB! I never imagined that I would be staring at such figures so early in our career when writing this song. What an accomplishment, boys! I’m so fortunate to have this incredible fan base every day in addition to sharing it with you.

When Payne, 31, who gained international recognition with the boy band One Direction, was discovered dead on October 16th, the band’s fans showered him with condolences. Investigators were collecting evidence to try and ascertain the reason of Payne’s untimely death while reporters and distraught fans gathered outside the Casa Sur Hotel. Coroners reportedly discovered 25 injuries with internal and external bleeding that were consistent with those brought on by a fall from a height, including fatal head injuries.

Alberto Crescenti, the head of emergency services in Buenos Aires, stated in a statement, “Our role was to head there quickly, give medical attention, and try to resuscitate him, but his injuries were incompatible with life.” According to the team’s observations, there appeared to be a skull fracture and very significant injuries”

At the scene, Payne was declared deceased.

Authorities found a mobile, lighter and whisky bottle in the interior courtyard where Payne was discovered. His hotel room was also “in complete disarray,” with “various items broken.”

The celebrity “was going through some kind of substance abuse episode,” according to investigators, after they discovered packets of clonazepam, a central nervous system depressant, energy supplements, and other over-the-counter medications among his luggage.

According to the Associated Press, officials demanded a toxicology check after “prosecutors described Payne’s case as’suspicious,’ citing the likelihood that the star had been drinking alcohol and taking drugs.” “Everything points to the musician being by himself at the time of the fall,” the prosecutor’s office stated. Kate Cassidy, Payne’s girlfriend, went to Horan’s concert with him but left for Florida a few days earlier without him.

Although the cause of the tragic fall has not yet been determined, it is known that Payne’s hands were free of defensive injuries. “The prosecutor’s office stated that it is assumed that Payne did not adopt a reflexive posture to protect himself and may have fallen in a state of semi- or total unconsciousness based on the position in which the body was found and the injuries sustained in the fall.”

Payne has discussed his battles with substance abuse and mental health, and the singer commemorated 100 days sober last year.

Payne stated in 2021, “I feel like I’ve got more of a grip on life now and everything that was getting away from me, I just feel like I’ve got more of a handle on it.” In actuality, I just needed to take a brief break for myself because I had kind of changed into someone I didn’t really recognise. This is a good situation to be in. Those things are absolutely no longer necessary for me. The celebration is done.
