Pope Francis has said his final goodbyes to the globe
The pope, who was born in Argentina, was laid to rest in front of thousands of people on Saturday. Numerous dignitaries and international leaders flew to Rome to attend the event. They included Melania and Donald Trump, who traveled to Italy to participate in the farewell.
Was Melania actually present, though? According to a conspiracy theory that has surfaced online, it was a body double and not her. Millions of people throughout the world have been grieving for Pope Francis. He was born Jorge Bergoglio and died on Monday, April 21 at the age of 88 after serving as pope for 12 years. For a variety of reasons, Francis was not your typical pope.

While refusing to lead an opulent lifestyle, he promoted assistance for immigrants and people living in poverty. After being elected, Francis chose to live in a simple two-room apartment in the Domus Sanctae Marthae, which had previously been used for guests, rather than the opulent papal palace on the top floor of the Vatican’s Apostolic Palace. Additionally, he declined to take the Catholic Church’s $32,000 monthly pay.
One important part of a pope’s job is to dress traditionally. While some people desire to maintain traditions at all costs, Francis had different ideas. His advisors encouraged him to wear white pants to match his white cassock just a few weeks after he was elected pope. According to Francis’ biographer Auster Ivereigh, who spoke to NPR, the pope said, “No thanks.” I do not wish to resemble an ice cream vendor.
The pope loved interacting with “ordinary people” and lending a hand to those in need. He chose to drive through the crowds in St. Peter’s Square in his so-called popemobile without the bulletproof glass around him just one day before he passed away, despite the fact that his health was failing. Francis grinned as he gave members hugs in front of the estimated 50,000 people in the audience.
Many people remarked on the photo, with some speculating that it might not be the First Lady herself but rather an imposter posing as Melania. Melania also never wears flat shoes. Since the real Melania did not want to have to go and stay with Trump abroad for the duration of the trip, I’m thinking that this is the false body double, someone wrote. “Fake Melania,” said another, and “Look at her face—that’s NOT Melania,” wrote a third.
“I don’t notice how they walked to the helicopter, but from the back, that is not Melania or DJT, IMO,” someone else wrote. Melania would never don a store-bought coat. A fifth person asserted that Melania was a body duplicate and wasn’t even at the pope’s burial. Melania Trump has already been charged with hiring a body double.
When Medias Touch editor Ron Filipkowski posted a video of Melania saying that she had “been wearing sunglasses inside all day today” on Election Day, November 6, last year, conspiracy theories started to circulate.
She was replaced with a body double for the cameras, according to some. One X user commented, “This is definitely not Melania.” “This impostor has spent the entire day indoors wearing sunglasses.”
“How is a man who goes around with a fake wife even a contender for president?” asked a second. “They had to remove the doppelgänger from the bench because the check didn’t clear in time for the real Melania to appear,” stated another X user. Another user said that a number of details “proved” it was a “fake Melania,” as the Daily Beast reported at the time.
According to one, the lady in the video appeared “20 years younger” than Melania Trump, while another commented, “Rings missing, wrong nail style & length, no smile lines in the jawline [or] lower cheek, bust half the size it should be.” How do you feel about this? Is this a wild conspiracy theory, or might Melania have utilized a body double? Please let us know what you think by telling your friends and family about this story on Facebook!
