Royal Author claims that King Charles would welcome Harry back, but Prince William has “more of a grudge” after last week
The Queen’s death was announced on the afternoon of Thursday, September 8. In a statement, Buckingham Palace said, “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and the Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”
Prince Charles is the heir to the throne and it didn’t take long before he was crowned King of the United Kingdom and the 14 Commonwealth realms.
Following his mother’s death, he released a statement saying, “The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family. We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished Sovereign and a much-loved Mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world.”
“During this period of mourning and change, my family and I will be comforted and sustained by our knowledge of the respect and deep affection in which The Queen was so widely held.”
Over the years the British Royal Family has continued to be in the headlines for one reason or another, not forgetting Meghan and Harry abandoning their royal roles and moving to Montecito, California.
After moving into their home they tried to stay out of the news and keep on enjoying their private life but it all came crashing down after their first big primetime interview with Oprah Winfrey.
They aired the dirty linen of the Royal Family and it burned a lot of bridges in the process, especially Harry’s relationship with his brother Williams.
The couple came back to the UK following the queen’s date and joined Williams and Kate for a walk around Windsor Castle, dressed all in black.
William, who had extended the invitation to Harry and Meghan at the last minute, saw the walk as “an important show of unity at an incredibly difficult time for the family,” According to People.
Christopher Anderson, a Royal Expert claims that William might well be holding a grudge against his younger brother, even if Charles is prepared to let bygones be bygones and forgive him.
The royal expert believes that Charles might plan to repair those burnt bridges as he needs family around him and everyone taking on their duties.
According to Royal Author Tina Brown, “Charles is going to be reaching out to Harry a lot. And I think he wants very much to heal that rift. Whether or not the rift can be healed will be more down to whether or not the Duchess feels that she would ever want to return to the family fold.”
