The Al Roker Family Experiences A Tragic Death
The loss of a loved one is causing Al Roker and his family to go through a trying period. The popular Today show anchor’s beloved first wife, Alice Bell, who was the mother of their daughter, Courtney Roker Laga, died at the age of 77. On February 11, Courtney verified this heartbreaking information on social media.
Courtney expressed a heartfelt tribute, stating, “She was my mother, my heart, and the most affectionate grandmother to Sky.” I was present at her final breath, and I shall eternally cherish her love.
Courtney shared a number of heartwarming pictures of her mother to go along with the announcement. Two treasured framed photos of Courtney and Alice as children were among them, along with sweet photos of Alice holding Courtney’s infant daughter Sky.
These later images, which showed Alice on oxygen support, captured her continued love and fortitude. Former Today co-host Tamron Hall was one among the many people who posted condolences, writing, “Sending our love.”
Although Alice’s cause of death has not been disclosed by the family, E! News noted that Al Roker was conspicuously absent from the February 11 Today broadcast.
Al and Alice got married in 1984 and remained married till 1994. In 1987, they adopted their daughter, Courtney. Since then, Al and his wife, Deborah Roberts, have been blessed with two additional children: Leila, who is 26 years old, and Nicholas, who is 22 years old.
