This is what the royal children are calling their grandmother, Diana
In 1987, Princess Diana passed away after a tragic accident and her sons Prince Williams and Prince Harry was left without a mother.
Today she has grandchildren, and it seems like she will never be forgotten as they all have what they call her.
Princess Diana during her time alive was always chased by the paparazzi, and they could pay any sum just to have a picture of her. Her sons weren’t blind to what was happening and that contributed to Harry’s decision of leaving the royal family when he was in his 20s.
Harry explained, “Look what it did to my mum, how am I ever going to settle down and have a wife and a family when I know that it’s going to happen again. I don’t want to be part of this.”
Princess Diana went through a lot during her lifetime; being followed by the media, and then her husband’s affair with Camilla who later became his wife.
The death of Diana brought the two brothers closer as they knew they only had each other. During the 20th anniversary of Diana’s passing they spent a great deal of time talking about her and the memories she left.
Harry explained, “When everybody says ‘she was funny, give us an example’. All I can hear is her laugh. She was one of the naughtiest parents, she’d come and watch us play football and smuggle sweet into her socks, literally walking back from a football match and having five packages of [candy]. And just, the whole shirt was full with sweets.”
He continued: “We felt incredibly loved by her, and I’m very grateful that the love still feels there,” William added.” It feels like a good time to remember her and hopefully provide a different side. It was that love, even though she was on the other side of the room, as her son you could feel it.”
Before her death she made the brothers promise to be each other’s best friend.
The brothers already have children, and it may interest you to know they Prince Williams and Harry told their children about their late mother. They want her legacy to live forever and have mounted a statue of her.
According to Hello Magazine, last year, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis all wrote Mother’s Day cards to Princess Diana for Mother’s Day.
