A few days before her death, Pierce Brosnan’s daughter married in secret

Charlotte was the daughter of Pierce Brosnan’s first wife, Cassandra Harris, whom he married in 1980. Their biological father passed away in 1986, Pierce decided to adopt both Charlotte and her brother, Christopher.

Cassandra Harris was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in 1987, the same disease that took her mother, and in 1991 at the age of 41, she lost the battle too.

Charlotte had a hard time being herself after losing her mother and soon started suffering from addiction and depression.

According to The Famous People, In 2003, Charlotte checked herself in for treatment at a Rehabilitation center in England, to get free from her drug and alcohol addiction.

Charlotte at a young age got exposed to fame as she followed in her parent’s footsteps. She wanted to make name for herself in the industry but Ovarian Cancer couldn’t let her do much.

On June 28, 2013, Charlotte breathed her last and she was surrounded by her husband Alex, children Isabella and Lucas, and brothers Christopher and Sean.

Pierce paid tribute to his “darling daughter” in a statement, “On June 28 my darling daughter Charlotte Emily passed on to eternal life, having succumbed to ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by her husband Alex, children Isabella and Lucas and brothers Christopher and Sean.

Charlotte fought her cancer with rare grace and humanity, courage and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful dear girl. We pray for her, and that the cure for this wretched disease will be at hand soon. We thank everyone for their heartfelt condolences.”

A few weeks before her passing, she tied the knot with the love of her life Alex, in a private ceremony attended by a few family and friends.

“It was the most moving day of my life. It wasn’t a day to be sad. Alex and Pierce were smiling broadly.”

It’s been years since her passing and her children are grown-ups. Her daughter, Isabella looks so beautiful like her mother and we hope she doesn’t encounter the same problem as her mother and grandmother.
