Police Confirm Perez Hilton Hospitalized Following Mental Health Crisis on Livestream

Perez Hilton was hospitalized on Tuesday after Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to his Florida home following a TikTok livestream that left viewers deeply alarmed. Concerned people who watched the stream placed numerous calls to authorities, prompting officers to head straight to the residence.

When deputies arrived they found Hilton alone inside. A spokesperson for the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office explained that in situations involving someone in a mental health crisis, officers focus on de-escalation by creating space and room for communication.

With help from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, they safely transported him to a nearby hospital for medical care. The Crisis Response Unit and licensed mental health professionals were also present, offering support and resources to family members at the scene.

After the livestream ended, graphic clips began circulating online. Hilton’s TikTok account was later suspended and the video removed. His representatives at Golden Artists Entertainment said they were aware of the circulating content but had not yet been able to reach him directly, asking the public for privacy.

This latest hospital stay comes after a difficult stretch for the 48-year-old blogger earlier in the year. In March he spent weeks in a Las Vegas hospital battling severe sepsis that developed from complications with the flu. The following month he returned for treatment of a deep vein thrombosis in his right leg and underwent a procedure to clear the clot. By early April he had shared video of himself taking steps again after weeks of being largely bedridden.

Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, rose to fame in the mid-2000s with his celebrity gossip site and has remained a fixture in entertainment media ever since. At the time of the incident he had recently moved back to the Miami area with family.
