Denise Richards Reveals the Full Details of Her Facelift and Calls It the Best Decision She Ever Made

Denise Richards is opening up more than ever about the full facial plastic surgery she had done a little over a year ago. The 55-year-old actress sat down on the latest episode of Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast and walked through every detail of the procedures that left her calling the experience the best thing she ever did for herself.

She admitted she first only wanted a neck lift. A well-known friend who had quietly gone through something similar told her she needed to do the whole thing if she was going to go under the knife at all. Denise said she was scared and pushed back at first. Up until then she had only tried a little Botox and some filler, and the filler never sat right on her face.

After meeting with Beverly Hills surgeon Dr. Ben Talei and seeing his before-and-after work, she decided to trust him completely. She told him he was the artist and to do whatever he thought was best. In the end he performed a full facelift that covered her neck, lower face, and upper face along with a brow lift and work on her upper lids. He left her lower lids alone.

The brow lift turned out to be the most painful part, and she is still numb under her chin more than a year later. Even with the discomfort, Denise has zero regrets. She first spoke about the surgery in an Allure interview earlier this year and shared the dramatic before-and-after photos with her surgeon on Instagram. Those images showed just how different her face looked after everything settled.

Denise has been open about how terrifying it felt to let someone work on her face after decades in the public eye. People have known what she looks like since her twenties, so there was no hiding a change this big. Still, she says putting everything back where it used to be was worth every moment of the recovery.
