This 38-year-old mom finally gives birth to a girl after having 10 boys
Most of us have heard about the first U.K. mom to have 10 boys in a row and recently she welcomed her 11th child who turned out to be a pretty girl.
Alexis is a 38-year-old mom married to Davis a 44-year-old train driver in the Scottish Highlands.
Alexis Brett’s joy knew no bounds when she was told she was going to have a baby girl.
Alexis and Davis, her husband traveled 50 miles from home in other to find out the baby’s gender.
“I’d been expecting to hear we were having another boy. But when I found out it was a girl, my face was a picture,” she told The Mirror newspaper.
She was over the moon and couldn’t wait to have her bundle of joy in her hands.
“I was shocked, but delighted. Now she’s here with us; it’s a fantastic feeling,” she told the Mirror.
Cameron has 10 soldiers to look out for her; she’s really that girl you shouldn’t mess with.
“They’ve generally been much better behaved around her,” dad David said, “Trying to keep quiet in case they wake her up.
“They also want to help in holding and feeding her – it’s been great.”
Alexis said that if she had a boy as her 11th child she would have also been happy. The gender doesn’t matter, after all, she’s happy to have another child as all her boys are special to her.
“We’re asked a lot if we had so many children because we were hoping for that elusive girl. I can honestly answer.‘no.’ Cameron wasn’t planned, but I was happy all the same,” she said.
Alexis seems to be the hardworking mom as she does 49 laundry a week and vacuums every day as she hates mess, the boys can’t stop running around the house either.
“We’re definitely stopping now,” Alexis says. “There’ll be no more. I said that last time, but this time I absolutely mean it. I love my family as it is now.
“I’d never planned to have a large family, but now I do, I love it.”
“I always joked I wouldn’t have a clue what to do with a girl… that’s all changed. We’re having a lot of fun buying pink things for the first time.”
Seems their lives got better by the presence of Cameron. The boys will be happy to have a sister. We wish them all the best.
