The cutest couple in Hollywood: Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick

Most of us might have forgotten that Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick have been married for over three decades and their love story seems to be the intriguing one.

Kevin was older than Kyra by 7 years and she was just 12 years when they met for the first time.

They didn’t meet again until a decade later when it felt like the universe was working in their favor and they met on the set of Lemon Sky. Then she wasn’t interested in Kevin as he wasn’t her type.

Kyra admitted to Wide Open Country, “He definitely wasn’t my type. In fact, I vividly remember looking at his butt when he walked away after we first met and thinking, Well, I guess some girls like that.”

The duo got married a year later in 1988. Their first child Travis Sedgwick Bacon was born shortly after their wedding, while their other child Sosie Ruth was born in 1992.

It’s been 34 years already and the couple is celebrating their anniversary and they can’t help but recall how far they have gone.

Kyra told Redbook in 2008, “If someone had told me that at 22 I was going to meet the man I was going to marry and at 23 I would marry him and have a child, I would have told them they were out of their mind.”

Their lives seem to be made in heaven, but they sure have their rocky days.

Bacon told reporters, “The time I was hitting what I considered to be bottom was also the time I met my wife, our kids were born, good things were happening. And I was able to keep supporting myself; that always gave me strength.”

They always lost a huge amount of money when Bernie Madoff pulled a Ponzi on them.

Bacon told The Guardian, “It was a bad day.”

“But pretty quickly we were able to see all the things we had as opposed to whatever we lost, and those are the biggest cliches: children, health, love, a nice home. So we got through it together. I don’t think about Madoff, like, at all.”

Kyra appeared on the U.S. TV show “Finding Your Roots” and that’s when she discovered she and Bacon are ninth cousins.

It was a shocking revelation to the couple, but they didn’t allow it to affect their love life and moved past it.

The couple decided to spend time together during the quarantine.

Kyra told People, “I’m doing a little writing, even though I truly don’t have any sense of whether or not I’m any good at it at all.”

She continued: “It really is about just finding something to do. Certainly, I don’t spend time with my husband reading Shakespeare, but we’re watching a lot of stuff and we’re reading. We continue to read stuff. I continue to read. I’m trying to touch into my work on a daily basis, for sure.”

The couple’s love seems to be getting stronger and their relationship better by the day, they can pass for Hollywood’s cutest couple.
