The world was in mourning after Queen Elizabeth died. Though not everyone supports the monarchy, most people adored the late Queen. She ruled for more than 70 years and is now reunited with her husband, Prince Philip.

A close friend of Queen Elizabeth’s has disclosed new facts about her final days in an interview with The Daily Beast.

Queen Elizabeth died on September 8, 2022, at the age of 96, after ruled for more than 70 years.

Following the State Funeral at Westminster Abbey, Queen Elizabeth’s coffin was carried in Procession through the streets of London to Wellington Arch.

Hundreds of thousands of people came to London’s Westminster Hall before the burial to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth.

The costs were disclosed in a written declaration to Parliament.

“The government’s priorities were that these events ran smoothly and with the appropriate level of dignity, while at all times ensuring the safety and security of the public,” said John Glen, chief secretary to the Treasury, in a statement.

The facts surrounding Queen Elizabeth’s death were kept hidden for weeks after her funeral. According to the Daily Mail, a Scottish government department was accused of being secretive and obstructing legitimate attempts to obtain a copy of Her Majesty’s death certificate, despite the fact that many people believed it should be public information.

“Despite MailOnline and other media outlets attempting to obtain information from the National Records of Scotland (NRS), the public body has blocked its staff from providing any details relating to the Queen’s death on September 8,” the Daily Mail reported.

The registered cause of death was announced in late September. The cause of death for Queen Elizabeth was given as “old age,” with no further information provided.

Paul Lowe, Chief Executive of the National Records of Scotland, confirmed that her death was registered in Aberdeenshire on September 16.

The certificate, signed by the Queen’s daughter, Princess Anne, declares that Her Majesty died on September 8 at 3.10 p.m. at Balmoral Castle. Buckingham Palace announced Queen Elizabeth’s death three hours after she passed away.

When the Queen died, King Charles and Camilla were by her side. Unfortunately, none of Prince William, Kate Middleton, or Prince Harry arrived at Balmoral in time to say their final goodbyes to her.

In an interview with 60 Minutes, Harry discussed the turbulent hours following his grandmother’s death. He claimed that he contacted his brother William about travel plans for Balmoral, but was not invited.

“I asked my brother, ‘What are your plans?'” ‘How are you and Kate making your way up there?’ “And then, you know, a couple of hours later, all of the family members who live in the Windsor and Ascot area were all jumping on a plane together,” Harry said Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes.

He spent the majority of the journey to the Scottish estate, where he’d spent many Christmases and other holidays, thinking about the final words he’d said to his beloved grandma.

As he landed, Harry learned via the BBC website that the Queen had died. Princess Anne was the one who greeted him upon his arrival at Balmoral.

“I walked into the hall, and [Princess Anne] was there to greet me,” Harry explained to 60 Minutes. “She also asked if I wanted to see her. I considered it for about five seconds, wondering, ‘Is this a good idea?’ And I said, ‘You know what? You’ve got this. You must bid farewell.’ So I went upstairs, took off my jacket, walked in, and simply spent some time alone with her.”
