A miraculous survivor of the fatal Air India disaster leaves the debris behind

One passenger emerged from the ashes and left the wreckage of Air India Flight 171, a tragedy that has killed at least 241 people, in a terrifying turn of events that is being referred to as a miracle. On June 12, just after taking off from Ahmedabad, an Air India flight crashed, killing over 200 people in one of the greatest aviation tragedies in modern Indian history.

Shortly after taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at 1:38 p.m. local time, the 242 passenger and crew members on board the London-bound Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed into a medical college campus.

Pictures from the scene of the crash reveal unbelievable destruction: pieces of the plane scattered on roofs, classrooms that have burned down, charred victims being dragged from the streets, and—most startling of all—a sizable portion of the plane’s tail lodged in a collapsed wing of the college building.

Although the disaster happened in an instant, its effects will last a lifetime. According to Ahmedabad Police Commissioner G.S. Malik, who confirmed that 204 remains had been retrieved at the time, “it appears there are no survivors in the plane crash,” he told AP. He went on to say that it is possible that “some locals would have also died” because the plane crashed in a residential area that was heavily populated and also included a number of offices. “The precise number of casualties is being determined,” he stated.

However, Malik made the heartbreaking and surprising announcement that one person had been discovered alive amid the destruction. I misquoted what I said earlier. One person has been discovered alive. He is receiving treatment at the hospital right now. “Status is being closely monitored by doctors,” he informed local media.

Vishwas Kumar Ramesh, a 40-year-old British national with Indian ancestry, is the only survivor. Vishwas was returning to London with his 45-year-old brother, Ajay Kumar Ramesh, after visiting his family. The brothers believed they would bring back memories of their time spent together in Diu to the UK. However, the trip came to a horrifying end.

Vishwas, who still had his boarding card, was lying in a general room at a nearby hospital, injured but still breathing, which was a miracle by all accounts. The jet made a tremendous noise thirty seconds after takeoff, and then it crashed. “Everything happened so fast,” the survivor told Hindustan Times.

Charred bodies and fuselage littered the walkway as Vishwas made his way through the smoke-filled wreckage of the aircraft. “There were bodies everywhere when I woke up. I felt afraid. The man answered, “I got up and ran.” All around me were fragments of the aircraft. I was taken to the hospital by someone who grabbed me and got me into an ambulance.

He is currently in excruciating pain as he awaits word of his brother: “He was traveling with me.” I can no longer locate him. He begged, “Please help me find him.”

London resident Jamie Greenlaw-Meek, 29, and his spouse Fiongal Greenlaw-Meek, who were both on the airline’s manifest, were among the sadly deceased.

The pair, who ran Wellness Foundry, posted an eerily upbeat video about going home just before boarding what would be their last trip. Fiongal grinned broadly in the video, which has since gone viral on social media, blissfully oblivious of the fact that he was recording their final moments. “We are just boarding at the airport.

Fiongal spoke into the camera as the couple got ready to board the airplane headed for London Gatwick, saying, “Goodbye India on a 10-hour flight back to London.” “My biggest takeaway is to not lose your patience with your partner,” Fiongal laughed as he went on to discuss some of his observations from his trip to India.

Before he blew a kiss, smiled softly, and laughed heartily, he concluded by writing, “Going back happily, happily, happily calm.” One man’s heartbeat serves as a defiant reminder that miracles may still occur even amid the most horrific disasters, as investigators search through the wreckage and families prepare for what will happen next.
