A mother dies after saving her twin boys from a car crash
Mother throws her body in front of her twins during a car crash, saving their lives by sacrificing her own.
The love of a mother will always remain immeasurable with no bounds.
My mom was burnt while trying to save me and my siblings during the fire incident that took down our home in Florida.
People tried to hold her back from entering the burning house, but she said there’s no way she’s leaving her kids in that house.
The twin boys were saved, thanks to their mom who had to sacrifice her life. The last memory of their mom will be here protecting them from the crash and shutting her eyes forever.
This particular accident occurred on a Monday morning, March first. The heroic mom was driving with her kids when a man who shouldn’t have been on the streets in the first place crashed into their car and as motherly instinct kicked in, she could only use her body to save her kids from the impending danger.
Hillarie Galazka, a mother of three was on her way when the crash took place. She was driving with her 5-year-old twin boys when a 25-year-old man who was driving at a high speed collided with them.
Hillarie Galazka within seconds used her body to shield her kids from the effect of the crash. “Her body saved them,” said Hillarie’s grieving mother, Jodie Kelley, according to FOX 2 Detroit. “The boys say they saw her open her eyes, and look at them, and then she closed her eyes, never opened them again. They remember that.”
The twin boys made it alive with minor injuries, but their heroic mom died on the scene. The force of the crash must have been so massive.
The 25-year-old driver ran away after the accident but was later caught in a hospital.
Heartbroken over the death of her daughter, Jodie said, “She was my best friend she’s gone now.”
“I’m just glad the babies survived a tragedy for the family,” said Jacob Galazka, Hillarie’s brother. “Everyone loves those kids. Everyone loves Hillarie. She is a good-hearted, strong, beautiful woman. She didn’t deserve this death.”
“I am devastated. I cannot believe that this man wasn’t in prison for his entire life for all of his warrants. I can’t believe he was behind the wheel doing 90 miles per hour in an SUV,” Jodie said.
A gofundme page was set up to raise funds for the boys and people were so kind to donate to the fundraising.
The culprit was apprehended a few hours later at a hospital. According to People, the driver told the police that he escaped after the accident on foot to a gas station closeby, and then got someone to ride him to the hospital where he was eventually nabbed.
The family is left bearing the weight of his actions and we hope that they will be able to get over this trying time.
