According to a royal analyst, King Charles’ failure to formally recognise Princess Lilibet’s birthday portends trouble

Princess Lilibet has only recently turned two, but she has already made countless appearances in the royal spotlight, in large part because of her parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Since Harry and Meghan made the decision to go on to fresh beginnings, there has been a breach between them and the British Royal Family. When they openly criticised various members of the Royal Family, including King Charles, in interviews and Harry’s book Spare, things unquestionably did not get better.

Harry was the only one present during King Charles’ coronation since Meghan and their English home, Frogmore House, were finally forced to move out. Even still, there are rumours that King Charles is disappointed about his lack of interaction with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the children of Harry and Meghan.

Despite how far away the kids are, Charles can’t always visit them, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t care. Despite Harry’s advice not to be expensive, it was claimed that he wanted to send Lilibet a special gift for her birthday in early June.

King Charles surely has the best intentions, but according to royal experts, he overlooked an important detail for his granddaughter’s birthday.

It’s safe to suppose that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are just vaguely aware of the conflict in their family that is going on all around them.

With their parents Harry and Meghan, they are developing steadily in the US; Lilibet has recently celebrated her second birthday. She celebrated her birthday at the Duke and Duchess’s Montecito, California, home without any senior royals present, but rumours say that King Charles intended to give his granddaughter a gift.

The royal family never forgets to congratulate one another online. Despite the conflict between Harry and the Firm, the royal family last year gave the Duke a birthday greeting. The same was true for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who received congratulations from then-Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince Kate, and both of them.

But it seems like things will be different this year. The official royal social media channels have been completely silent. Given that King Charles’ coronation took place the same day, it was not unexpected that Archie didn’t receive a royal “happy birthday” via social media. For Lilibet, though, things are different.

King Charles has been accused by royal experts of snubbing his granddaughter because he didn’t utilise social media to celebrate her birthday. It’s interesting that Prince William and Kate Middleton didn’t post anything on social media either.

Why is that, then? The late Queen Elizabeth had a wonderful relationship with Harry and Megan up until her demise in September of last year, according to royal analyst RS Locke. Perhaps some other senior royals can’t be claimed to be the same.

“Last year’s birthday acknowledgment was at the late Queen’s behest and an indication of the cordial relationship she had with Prince Harry, Meghan, and their children,” Locke said to the Independent.
