After a secret battle with cancer, actor Julian McMahon passed away

Known for his parts in “FBI: Most Wanted,” the “Fantastic Four” movies from the 2000s, “Nip/Tuck,” and “Charmed,” actor Julian McMahon passed away following a personal fight with cancer.

McMahon was born on July 27, 1968, in Sydney, Australia. From 1971 to 1972, his father was Australia’s prime minister. McMahon began her career as a model before switching to acting and starring in movies and daytime soap operas in Australia before relocating to Hollywood.

He starred in NBC’s “Another World” in 1993 before landing a part as Cole Turner on “Charmed.” In addition, he portrayed Dr. Christian Troy in the six-season popular plastic surgery drama “Nip/Tuck,” for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe.

McMahon is most known to Marvel fans for his role as Dr. Doom in the 2005 film Fantastic Four and its 2007 follow-up, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. McMahon’s last appearance was as the Prime Minister of Australia in the Netflix series “The Residence.”
