After her untimely passing at the age of 54, Lisa Marie Presley receives honours from John Travolta

Following Lisa Marie Presley’s passing on January 12, 2023 in Los Angeles, tributes have poured in.

The 54-year-old was reportedly transported to the hospital after experiencing cardiac arrest. Presley’s housekeeper allegedly discovered her unconscious in the restroom. Danny Keough, her ex-husband, administered CPR prior to the arrival of paramedics.

According to reports, Presley entered “complete arrest.” Later, in a Facebook post, her mother, Priscilla, confirmed the information and stated that Lisa Marie had been “rushed to the hospital” but was “getting the greatest treatment.”

“Prayers would be appreciated for her and our family. We appreciate the prayers from all across the world and ask for discretion at this time, stated Priscilla.

Later, the sad news that Lisa Marie had died was revealed.

In a statement, Priscilla said: “I must share the heartbreaking news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us with a sad heart.

She was the most fervent, powerful, and loving woman I’ve ever met. We request discretion as we work to process this tragic loss. Thank you for your prayers and kindness. No other comments will be made at this time.

Since then, condolences to Lisa Marie, Elvis Presley’s only child, have flooded social media, with celebrities like John Travolta, Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks, and Octavia Spencer expressing their sorrow.

“Our hearts are devastated by the untimely and terrible demise of Lisa Marie Presley tonight,” Rita Wilson posted on Instagram. On the Elvis movie marketing tour, Tom and I had some time with the family. Lisa Marie was frank and straight, exposed, and filled with excitement for the film.

She was so expressive in describing her father, the movie’s significance to her, and how it was a celebration of her father.

Wilson continued, “I have always liked her seductive voice, which had both force and gentleness. We are sending Riley, Harper, Finley, Danny, and Priscilla our love and prayers.

There should never be a mother who loses a child. Priscilla lost her only daughter, while Lisa Marie lost her cherished son Benjamin. It’s excessive. Love and prayers for the family’s well-being are sent.

On his personal Instagram, John Travolta, in contrast, shared a picture of Lisa Marie with the message: “Lisa sweet girl, I’m very sorry. Although I’ll miss you, I’m confident I’ll see you again. For Riley, Priscilla, Harper, and Finley, my love and heart are with them.

Lisa Marie was last spotted out in public over the weekend, when she watched Austin Butler win a Golden Globe for playing her father in Elvis.

Although Lisa Marie didn’t post much on social media, she acknowledged that she had been finding it difficult to deal with the pain of losing her son, Benjamin, to suicide in 2020.

She stated in an editorial for People that “This is not an easy subject for anyone, and it is very unpopular to talk about.” But mourning needs to be discussed if we’re going to advance the conversation.

“Whether we like it or not, death and sorrow are inevitable parts of life. After a loss, whether it is a year or years later, grief does not stop or diminish in any way. Contrary to what some people or our culture would have us believe, grief is something you will have to live with for the rest of your life. There is no such thing as “moving on” or “getting over it.”
