After losing his wife, Patrick Duffy looks unrecognizable

Carlyn Rosser passed away sometime in early 2017 and was buried privately by her family. Her husband only got to announce her death six months later when he posted on his social media page, “My heart stopped beating exactly six months ago, on this day. Because she wanted me to, she made sure that I kept breathing. We shall spend the rest of our lives together. I am grateful for all of the love and concern you have shown me.

Four years earlier, Patrick Duffy was diagnosed with skin cancer and she never left his side for a moment.

After losing his wife he seems to be aging quickly and one can say that he’s slowly losing himself.

Duffy, exclusively told Closer Weekly of Rosser, to whom he was married for 43 years, “I can hear her. I can see her. I know what she would expect of me, and I try and live up to that. I feel close to her all the time [but] what I miss most is her touch. I still consider myself a married man.”

Their love story is a sweet one and that’s why he can’t get over his loss, thanks to his two sons, Padraic, 45, and Conor, 39 who have been of immense help to the actor.

“My boys were there as stalwarts. But I also realized that, as much as they were trying to buttress old Dad up, I’m probably more adjusted to this set of circumstances than they are,” Duffy added. “You reach a certain age and you realize the road ahead is much shorter than the road behind.”

“There are no mistakes in life. I can mend every fence I’ve broken and create value out of everything I’ve done if I’m given enough time,” he said. “I have done and I still am doing OK. I have worked hard to make the best of life, and it’s been good to me.”

Duffy hopes that someday he will find Peace again. He gave up on looking for love, but love found its way to him.

He connected so well with Linda Pury and they decided to give each other a chance.

“We kept texting and texting became Facetime and for two and a half months plus we zoomed every night for two or three hours. We didn’t have that thing after the third dinner, do I kiss? Do I take her to my house?” After those early Zoom romance days, Duffy drove 23 hours to see his love face to face, and “we’ve never been apart [since],” Duffy said while recalling their early dating phase.

We are happy that he’s doing well at the moment. We wish him all the best.
