Amanda Lepore – the most expensive body in the world

Amanda Lepore is popularly known for her numerous surgeries. It’s fair to say many celebrities have altered their body, some it’s just a Botox while some chose to let the surgeon’s knife go all over their body.

The transgender woman is quite aware of all she has done and openly described herself as “the most expensive body on Earth,” At the age of 15, she started her gender transitioning process by taking hormones and tried out surgery for the first time in her late teenage days.

Today, she’s 54-years of age – and here’s what she looks like now. Amanda became popularly known as the ”inflated doll”. Amanda has gone through a lot of surgeries and it’s quite okay if she described herself as the most expensive body.

Amanda was born in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, on November 21, 1967. She always says that she feels she was born in the wrong baby and wanted to correct the anomaly she thought existed.

Her father, an Italian-American, abandoned the family when Amanda was only 14 years of age while her mother suffered schizophrenia and had to be hospitalized. “I have a really good memory, and the early part is not all good memories,” she told Observer. “I didn’t like doing it at first. My mother is always on my mind.

I don’t think about the past – especially those years. I live in the moment.” Her mother never did her hair or makeup and always looked terrible while sick and the day she wore makeup and went to a beauty parlor, a new insight sparked in her and created her life Moto.

“I associate glamour with being happy. If you put on high heels and lipstick or get a new outfit, you feel great,” she explained. “It’s a celebration of loving yourself, and the whole ritual of it is so great.”

At the age of 15, she went through rhinoplasty to slim down her nose. “It healed quicker than the doctor expected, and the packing gauze went down my throat,” she told the New York Post. The procedure was done in New York – the doctor, who she met in a nightclub, did it for free. In 2000, she had her ribs reshaped in other to get an hourglass shape.

A surgery that cost her over $1Million. “Fortunately, everything was at its best when I had it done,” she told Observer. “I didn’t have to do silicone injections in the boobs and things like that.

They had implants by then. In those ways, I was lucky. And the sex change was really good. I didn’t have to fix everything.” Over the years she has managed to change herself and have amassed fame in the process.
