Barron Trump Returns to the White House, Sources Say

Barron Trump spent his dad’s first presidency living with Donald and Melania at the White House. But when Trump headed back to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for round two, Barron chose a different path—he headed to New York to kick off his studies at NYU’s Stern Business School.

That said, when the new semester rolled around last week, Barron was a no-show on campus. Word started spreading that he might be looking into options in another city, and now it looks like he’s made up his mind. A few outlets are reporting that he’s not only switched to the Washington campus but is also settling back into the White House.

As Donald and Melania packed up from Mar-a-Lago in Florida to reclaim their spot in D.C., Barron went the opposite direction last fall, starting at Stern in the city where he grew up. His mom mentioned she’d be there for him in New York and wouldn’t be a full-time White House resident herself. In a chat with Fox earlier this year, Melania explained that while Barron was based in the Big Apple, he’d always have a spot at the White House to drop by whenever he felt like it.

“Whatever makes him happy,” she said. “Kids are ours until they’re around 18 or 19—we raise them, show them the ropes, and then let them spread their wings.”

She went on: “I’ve always respected Barron’s choices, his yesses and nos, and wherever he wants to be.”

Barron Trump Putting School First, Even Over Dating Rumors

Since starting college, Barron’s been the subject of all sorts of whispers in the media. There were stories about him bonding with classmates through online gaming, and over the summer, some chatter about a possible girlfriend.

But according to People Magazine, he was all about business—literally—rather than romance. An insider shared: “Barron’s been diving into his own financial projects and hanging out a lot with family.”

Despite the buzz around his private life from occasional sightings, the source made it clear that dating isn’t on his radar right now. He kept a low profile all summer long.

“It’s not a big deal for him at the moment. He’s zeroed in on his classes, his family who has his back, and kickstarting his career,” the insider added.

Barron Trump Absent from NYU’s Opening Week

Heading into his sophomore year, the fall term is underway, but Barron hasn’t shown up at Stern at all.

No one knew for sure why he skipped the first week in New York, though talk was he might have relocated. People Magazine quoted “multiple campus security officers” saying the 19-year-old hasn’t been around NYU’s main spot but is studying at a different location instead.

“I heard he’s doing a semester at one of the other NYU campuses,” one officer mentioned.

NYU has full-fledged programs in places like Brooklyn, Abu Dhabi, London, Paris, and Shanghai, plus hubs in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.

Hello Magazine noted that security folks wouldn’t spill which one for safety reasons. But the NY Post says Barron isn’t going too far—in fact, it’s a familiar address: the White House.

Barron Settling Back into the White House for NYU’s D.C. Campus

According to the Post, Barron’s sticking with his studies at NYU’s Washington, D.C., campus, which means crashing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue again. He’ll be right there with his folks, and who knows, maybe we’ll see him pop up at some events with them.

The Daily Mail says the D.C. setup takes in up to 120 students per semester, with classes geared toward folks eyeing paths in politics, history, economics, journalism, or public policy.

Since he’s enrolled at the top-tier Stern Business School, the Washington campus also hosts the Stern Executive MBA program. That lets students wrap up an MBA in just two years, with 60 to 100 spots available. Undergrad tuition runs about $32,811.
