She “died peacefully in her sleep at her home,” her close friend and agent Jeff Witjas told People.

“Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever,” Witjas told People in a statement. “I will miss her terribly, and so will the animal world that she loved so much. I don’t think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband, Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again.”

As a child white always wanted to be a forest ranger or a writer but her dreams changed after she got into high school.

Her childhood dream came true in 2010 after she received the title of a forest ranger during a ceremony at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.

Betty White said at the time, “In my heart, I’ve been a forest ranger all my life, but now I’m official.”

“Whether I’ve been a legitimate forest ranger or not, I’ve been working for the cause for the last 89 years. I know this is an honorary position, but it’s also one where I can use a voice to try to protect the remaining beautiful parts of this gorgeous world we live on.”

Betty found her true passion in acting after graduating from high school and went to be a huge success in Hollywood.

In the game show password in the 1960s, Betty met Allen on the show as he was the host and they connected immediately.

They started dating after a while and when Allen proposed, Betty turned him down as she didn’t want to relocate to New York.

Allen didn’t give up either until she finally said yes and they got married in 1963. 18 years after their marriage, Allen died because of stomach cancer and white didn’t consider remarrying again.

“Once you’ve had the best, who needs the rest?” said Betty when asked why she can’t remarry.
