In her post Bindi explained that doctors had once brushed off her symptoms telling her it was just part of being a woman. For a full decade she went undiagnosed feeling weak and deeply insecure as if she were trapped inside her own body.
She wrote about the procedures she has faced including the removal of those many endometriosis lesions a chocolate cyst that had been sticking her ovary to her side an appendectomy and a hernia repair. Through it all the pain never seemed to let up.
Bindi who shares daughter Grace now five with her husband Chandler Powell was finally diagnosed with endometriosis not long after giving birth. She has spoken before about how getting proper treatment changed everything for her allowing her to enjoy simple things like going for walks with her little girl without feeling sick.
Endometriosis affects around 190 million women around the world and it can take anywhere from four to twelve years on average to get a proper diagnosis. There is no cure though treatments can help manage the symptoms. The condition happens when tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of it causing severe pain and other issues.
In her message Bindi urged everyone to keep raising awareness not just during the awareness month but every single day. She highlighted the importance of speaking up about womens health in general and reminded those suffering that they are not alone. No one should have to suffer in silence she said.
She pointed people toward resources like endometriosis surgeon Dr Tamer Seckin and the Endometriosis Foundation of America for more information. Her final words were full of empathy telling anyone in pain that she believes them and encouraging them not to give up on finding answers or on themselves.

Bindi has always been open about her health journey and this latest share shows just how strong she has been in facing something that so many women deal with quietly. Her story is a powerful reminder of why awareness matters so much.
