Bruce Willis’s acting career will be coming to an end

Actor Bruce Willis and his family disclosed in a statement that he will be retiring from the big screens after being diagnosed with aphasia.

This condition is caused by a stroke or traumatic injury, it damages some parts of the brain leading to difficulty in comprehending or formulating language.

Bruce’s daughter, Rumer, took to Instagram to share the news. She posted it with a picture of her father, saying, “To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family, we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities. As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”

“This is a challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion, and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him. As Bruce always says, ‘Live it up and together we plan to do just that.”

Bruce over the years has been in many movies and his roles always played well, it’s sad that he’s retiring.

Taking a walk down the memory line, Bruce Willis rose to fame with the TV show Moonlighting which brought him an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe. He went on to appear in Armageddon, Pulp Fiction, The Fifth Element, The Last Boy Scout, Twelve Monkeys, The Sixth Sense, Looper, and the Moonrise Kingdom. He executed all roles with ease and you can say that he was born with acting in his blood.

After his family released the statement, his fans couldn’t help but wish him well and send love his way. Other celebrities posted on their page too.

Kevin Smith tweeted, “This is heartbreaking to read. He loved to act and sing and the loss of that has to be devastating for him.”

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis wrote, “grace and guts! Love to you all”, while model Cindy Crawford posted an emoji of praying hands. Actress and former co-star Elizabeth Perkins wrote, “Sending so much love to you all.”

“I have so much love for Bruce Willis and am grateful for every character he’s given us. Hugs and love for the whole family- thank you for sharing him with us all,” actor Seth Green also tweeted.
