According to reports, Dion recently underwent therapy for severe and ongoing muscle spasms. She was forced to postpone several concerts in Las Vegas, first in November of last year and then from January 19 to February 5, 2022, due to “unforeseen medical symptoms.”

According to the statement, Celine has been dealing with severe and ongoing muscle spasms that keep her from performing.

“Her medical staff is still monitoring and treating her. She is unable to take part in the current show rehearsals due to the symptoms she is having, though.

Céline wrote on Instagram that she was “heartbroken” about cancelling the concerts.

“My team and I have been working on our new show for the past eight months, and I can’t even begin to express how devastated I am that we won’t be able to debut it in November. This brand-new, cutting-edge theatre has been prepared by my partners at Resorts World Las Vegas and AEG, and it is absolutely stunning,” the 54-year-old singer wrote.

Initially, Céline was going to embark on her world tour’s European leg. But eventually, the muscle spasms made it impossible for her to continue, and she was forced to stop.

Fans from all across the world have been wishing her well. Her global tour’s European leg was supposed to continue as planned in the spring of 2023. However, Dion provided a new, depressing health update on Thursday.

Céline Dion revealed in a video on her Instagram page that she has Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS), a very rare neurological condition that causes uncontrollable muscle spasms. She is compelled to postpone the tour due to her incurable illness.

She cancelled the 2023 summer performances and moved the 2003 spring performances to 2024.

“As you are aware, I have always been honest, and while I wasn’t ready to speak up before, I am now. It’s been really challenging for me to face my challenges and talk about everything that I’ve been through because I’ve been dealing with health issues for a long time, Céline Dion said through tears.

“Recently, I received a stiff person syndrome diagnosis, an extremely rare neurological condition that affects 1 in a million people. We now know that this is the cause of all the spasms I’ve been experiencing, despite the fact that we are still learning about this uncommon ailment.

She went on to claim that the spasms significantly interfere with her everyday activities and make it difficult for her to walk. Additionally, it prevents her from singing as she used to using her vocal chords.

In order to recover, Céline Dion said she is working with a medical team and a sports medicine therapist to “build back my strength and my ability to perform again.”

Dion admits that it has been difficult.

“Singing is all I know; it’s what I’ve done my entire life and what I love doing the most. She thanked all of her supporters and stated, “I miss you so much. I miss seeing all of you being on the stage singing for you.
