Dolly Parton shares a picture of her real hair and has left fans talking

Dolly Parton apart from being a country music icon is popularly known for her ageless appearance and catchy hairstyles.

Now, she has opened up that she wears wigs.

The 76-year-old blonde bombshell told Hallmark’s Home & Family hosts, Mark Steines and Cristina Ferrare, “I used to try to keep my own hair teased as big as I like it, and having the bleach and all of that, it just broke off.”

She continued: “I thought, ‘Why am I going through all that? Why don’t I just wear wigs? That way, I never have a bad hair day! I have a big hair day, but not a bad hair day.”

From her teenage days, Dolly always dreamed of owning many hairpieces.

She wrote in her book, “Songteller: My Life in Lyrics“, “I always wore my hair all teased up. Whenever that style started, I was the first to get my hair all poofy. Then as soon as I could buy those hairpieces and wigs, I wanted them.”

She added: “For one thing they were so handy.”

The superstar has a wig stylist who brushes and maintains her wigs.

Dolly Parton has always been open about her life and other personal matters but has always been secretive about her 50-year-old marriage. Her husband, Carl Thomas, is a private person and doesn’t like the spotlight.

She caused a media frenzy yet again when she posted a picture of her and Carl. Fans couldn’t get enough of the picture and commented, “Y’all are adorable. I think this may be the first time I’ve seen a picture Carl Dean.”

Another user commented, “two make a beautiful couple.”

The couple met each other for the first time, on the first day Dolly came to Nashville, Tennessee.

Parton told Carson, “I took dirty clothes from home because I was in such a hurry to go, so I had gone to the laundromat, which was the first time that I had ever been to a laundromat.”

She continued: “I put my clothes in the washing machine, and I got a cold drink and I was just walking along the sidewalks, just kind of looking around Nashville.

So, this good-looking guy went by in a Chevrolet and me being straight from the country, you speak to everybody.”

It’s been 50 years of marriage and they are still so much in love. We wish them all the best.
