Donald Sutherland’s son speaks out on father’s love affair with Jane Fonda

Donald Sutherland is a Canadian actor who has been in the film industry for over 55 years. The 85yrs old has been nominated for eight golden globe awards and also an Emmy award.

Donald has married three times and has kids with his various ex-pairs and wife.

One of his sons is also a star in Hollywood and took after the family name as Donald has a great passion for films. His son Kiefer Sutherland, Sarah Jude Sutherland, amidst other family members, are classical actors too.

Donald is one of the biggest stars to ever come out of Canada and looking back at his childhood, it was a roller coaster. 

Donald suffered from polio when he was a child,  even had rheumatic fever, and had to spend his fourth grade at home.

When he became a teenager, his life didn’t get better as he was called a Dumbo for his unusual big ears and tail nature.

When he started college, he was so insecure about everything and it was at those moments he found his vision and passion in life. From his first audition, he performed more than an average actor.

His first role was in Castle of the living dead and he played alongside Christopher Lee, a Hollywood star. He played all minor roles and was close to his breakthrough in the industry.

Again, his big ears were obvious, but this time he was the one with the last laugh, and he who laughs last laughs best. He got his breakthrough when the director Bob Aldrich went on and called him the guy with the big ears, you take the lead role and that’s how his life changed.

After his role in dirty dozen, he got other red that took him to higher levels of celebrity life. 

It’s been 55 years since he entered Nollywood and he never stops proving himself as a legendary actor. He also played alongside some of the biggest actors and actresses in the industry like Jane Fonda, Helen Mirren, Norman Bethune amidst others.

Talking of Jane Fonda, Kiefer Sutherland spoke to rolling stone magazine and recalled the time his father had an affair with Fonda.

He says he didn’t know anything and he always said he fell in love and it’s hard to judge someone for it.

Donald is a Hollywood superstar and we are proud of all he’s doing and has done in the industry.
